Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Thanks so much. It’s hard trying to keep on top of it all when daily driving in this horrid slushy mess. my neighbours must think I’m mental when I’m out there jetwashing the underside in the snow. 😅

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

So sorry for the late response, I never saw this. yes I did get the rear carpet custom made. I designed a logo which was a mix of Renault and Porsche text as a tongue in cheek nod to a Clubsport car. Imitation is the highest form of flattery so if you do replicate some of my choices, I’d say...

    Toolbox Talk

£5.5k for all you have there is bloody good value for money to be fair, Teng make good kit. Granted not as pretty as some of the higher end kit, but significantly cheaper and offers better value. Yeah ive broken some Teng kit, but then ive broken Snap On kit too, so its by the by.

I did exactly that, and now im looking at more organisation to get more in it :D The guys on this thread who are in the trade will have some epic toolboxes no doubt :)

    The new tool thread

Haha, actually im downsizing, im down to mid 30s now. If my numbers come in, perhaps i'll have Snap On kite storage :D

    The new tool thread

Anyone here using Toolbox Widget for their organisation? I've been tempted for a while now and I'm seriously thinking about pulling the trigger. Anyone have any experience...

    The new tool thread

I wanted these till you actually see their limitations. Go watch some YouTube reviews of them and they can easily get stuck in low access areas which is a bit annoying. They will hold a nut and allow 12pt open ended capture, but other than that, they don’t do a great deal. For how infrequently...

The rear Clubsport bar & net is in hand mate. The first prototype is finishing up machining now.

    Clubsport style seating...options

With black belts and carpet. Another seat well worth a look is the Cobra Nogaro. They’re designed to be a road/track seat like the Pole Position and have great seatbelt routing.

I’ll just leave these here. (Rear is stripped and carpeted now and it wears black belts) Daily driven. 😉

These were my ST150 calipers when I did them with silver smoothrite the second time.

    andy_coops - Iceberg 172

I hope you have better luck with it Andy, but i found VHT silver just let the calipers rust through in no time. It looks beautiful when applied but is porous and just lets moisture in to the freshly blasted calipers and they rust in a couple of weeks.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

As for the Clubsport bar and net. I have been in (painful) talks with a company in Germany who make them called Stern Performance since May 2020. I've dicked about sending them measurements, photos and all sorts and i was still chasing them in December. I've since given up, bought a length of...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

I’ve got a few ideas in mind. Fitting a cupholder is easy. Making it not look s**t will take some thought. 😅

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Still have a few ideas of things i want to do. Working on a proper Clubsport style boot bar and net with a mate, i want to sort a decent cup holder solution for it. Better quality brake ducts as i keep melting mine, proper cold air feed, maybe an oil cooler. The rest will be mostly just...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

I don’t have any pics of the arch’s but literally just the very tips were done and blended. This was the fuel door when it was done.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Wasn't a cheap job, and barely any paint went on the car to be honest. £750, a couple of days. I had some micro bubbles in the lacquer starting to appear on the arch edge, so i had it done before it became anything else. Fuel filler was totally removed, bare metalled and epoxied, i bought a...

So i was updating my car service Exel sheet this morning. Last year might have been an awful year for many, but the litlle Clio got a whole lot of love in 2020. Hopefully good for a few more miles yet 2020 Fuel filler/rear arch paint works at Spikes Vintage Resto 13/01/2020 Recaro...

Similar to what Darren has shown above, except mine is in a full IP66 housing. Cable goes up the door aperture and into the scuttle.

    Removing arb

If you read my thread you’ll see that I too struggled with it for approx 2 hours. All I’d heard was horror stories of what a nightmare they are blah blah. So focussed on it being an absolute pig of a job I fought them and got the clamps done up but it didn’t look right. Yes I’d managed to put...

    Removing arb

Just need a decent sized pry bar to refit. Get a big pry bar and they go back in less than 10 min and that was in axle stands. If you can get access to a ramp it’s easier to apply the amount of pressure to close the clamp. I was fearing doing mine as I’d heard all the horror stories, nowhere...

    Engine Dynamics - Experiences?

Only been to ED for a base dyno run before i start playing with some mods on mine. Andy was very helpful and informative and happy to talk about the more technical aspects of Clio tuning. I assume if Andy builds the motor then he will also be mapping it? This is a huge positive if its all done...
