removing the stupid/pointless headlight washer jets that leak and spray your nice clean car. plugged the holes up with rubber grommets from halfords (99p). tidy's up the front end nicely, saves a tiny bit of weight ;) and saves the fustration of the bloody things spraying my car when i have just...
i have had a miltek for over 2 years. had a decat on for 6 months and took it off. it was pretty loud, gave me a bit of a headache on long journeys. it came to mot time and i had to take it off and never put it back on because i couldn't see the point and i wanted a bit of peace now and again.
i have never had problems with mot. they didn't mention it at all. heard mixed views on it tbh.
i figured that if it failed it would only take half an hour or so to put them back on.
or like i said x2 rubber grommets are 99p from halfords etc. problem solved.
just remember to blank off the pipes going to the washers. its very easy to do.
and to be honest the black grommet will look fine on any colour car. i kind of got the idea from the r26r, it uses simple rubber grommets...
just plug up the hole with a rubber grommet (99p). i did. it smooths off the front end and the washers are s**t anyway, all they do is leak and get watermarks all over your clean car. no probs with mot with them removed either.
Are you also running SportLines?
I was contemplating replacing shocks but for £60+ a corner you are getting into Coilover money which is why i didnt just go straight out and try that.
yeah im running sportlines. i will be replacing the front shocks as im pretty sure they are the problem...
sounds like the shocks.
i replaced the rear shocks about a year ago and its been much better since. i think the front shocks are on their way out tho, no sign of leakage but small bumps are making a hell of a bang lately.
Don't! I tried it at SRR - Charlie let me detach my CAF and rotate the intake on the airbox to pick-up from behind the headlight - and the curve was all over the place and well down for the last 2k rpm.
really. cheers for that info, i just assumed that with less caf and a bigger point of...
i quite like that. i do think it will look better slightly lower. nice to see something different to silver turinis :) thumbs up from me just for that!
another way around the rubish standard mounts that make the engine jump out of the bay i suppose. ktr solid mounts do the trick for me tho.
nice idea anyway :)
to be honest i don't think you would have got very many comments if the only people 'allowed' to comment were people that liked the stickers.
i like the car. i dont like the stickers.
right... im going to paint the rear diamond this weekend. i have doth black paint (same as the front badge) and anthracite (simelar to my wheels). im thinking black but not sure what it will look like. does anyone have pisc of a black rear diamond on a black clio? i have seen anthracite on...
