    Best Clio for my budget?

i would go for a decent ph1 172. cracking cars. i would be happy to swap my 182 for a decent one.

    your best mod of 2009

i think so yeah, but i haven't had any troubles with it. if i did it only takes 40mins to put them back anyway. looks far better without imo.

    your best mod of 2009

removing the stupid/pointless headlight washer jets that leak and spray your nice clean car. plugged the holes up with rubber grommets from halfords (99p). tidy's up the front end nicely, saves a tiny bit of weight ;) and saves the fustration of the bloody things spraying my car when i have just...

    Milltek De-Cat

i have had a miltek for over 2 years. had a decat on for 6 months and took it off. it was pretty loud, gave me a bit of a headache on long journeys. it came to mot time and i had to take it off and never put it back on because i couldn't see the point and i wanted a bit of peace now and again.

    Headlight washer jets gone!

i have never had problems with mot. they didn't mention it at all. heard mixed views on it tbh. i figured that if it failed it would only take half an hour or so to put them back on.

    Headlight washer jets gone!

or like i said x2 rubber grommets are 99p from halfords etc. problem solved. just remember to blank off the pipes going to the washers. its very easy to do. and to be honest the black grommet will look fine on any colour car. i kind of got the idea from the r26r, it uses simple rubber grommets...

    Headlight washer jets gone!

just plug up the hole with a rubber grommet (99p). i did. it smooths off the front end and the washers are s**t anyway, all they do is leak and get watermarks all over your clean car. no probs with mot with them removed either.

    Crashy ride quality - Sportlines

Are you also running SportLines? I was contemplating replacing shocks but for £60+ a corner you are getting into Coilover money which is why i didnt just go straight out and try that. yeah im running sportlines. i will be replacing the front shocks as im pretty sure they are the problem...

    Crashy ride quality - Sportlines

sounds like the shocks. i replaced the rear shocks about a year ago and its been much better since. i think the front shocks are on their way out tho, no sign of leakage but small bumps are making a hell of a bang lately.

Espace V6 airbox is now fitted!

Don't! I tried it at SRR - Charlie let me detach my CAF and rotate the intake on the airbox to pick-up from behind the headlight - and the curve was all over the place and well down for the last 2k rpm. really. cheers for that info, i just assumed that with less caf and a bigger point of...

Espace V6 airbox is now fitted!

cool. squashed caf pipework tho. i think i would try running it without a caf. shouldn't get too much hot air there anyway once the car is moving.
