they look ok dont get me wrong. but my car is a daily drive and i need the rear seats and boot space for shopping etc. if i was 19 again i would still have my car stripped bare with a cage fitted but other commitments take priority now im getting old.
do it! im just being a old jealous fart...
yep, i have done a lot of thinking about it and im fairly sure i can run the 182. plus if i buy an older car, chanches are its less reliable and may need some work doing on it etc. i know my car well and its up to scratch on everything. see how it goes...
how mine is sitting on the drive now in the rather grim weather.
im in the process of buying a house with my girlfriend, first house for both of us. puting offers in now so fingers crossed and the 182 will have a new drive to sit on :) just hope i can afford to run it and not have to sell it :(
i would prob say yozza tbh. i would run the standard cat tho, no point in sports cat, and i wouldn't run a decat with a turbo because a certain ammount of back pressure can benefit a turbo.
im supprised the oem exhaust is still in one peice!
yeah, i would feel confident for k-tec to do it too.
well i suppose you could get a local garage to have a quick look or if you can get it to k-tec that might be best.
sorry i cant really help tbh. hope you get it sorted.
all being totally standard i would say 200, ph1 172 or 182 trophy.
it would be close tbh. there is really not a lot in it across the whole range. williams are bloody quick too.
i find tthat my 182 with k-tek (vibra technics) engine mounts and poly dogbone does add a little more vibration. but not enough to put me off using it as a daily drive. slightly noticable increase in vibration at idle but when your rolling and going through the gears it is a fantastic...
i will be sad when the 182 has to go :(
might go soon to free up some funds. im thinking ph1 172, or mk1 williams, or mk1 valver.
looked a tidy car mate.
i have found that t1-r last me just over as year on the front. they grip well in the dry, not as good in the wet. but not dangerously slippy. i dont tend to push the car to its limits in the wet. good all round tyre for the price imo. you might have to play around with the pressures a little to...
you will struggle to get cold air into an open cone filter. tbh (no offence) its not worth getting cold air into a 1.2, you wont notice any difference.
because the airfeed pipework is restrictive due to the material, small diameter pipe and bends in the pipework. the opening in the airbox that the airfeed pipe goes into is much bigger in diameter than the feed pipe.
ktr uprated engine mounts seemed to have helped smooth my gearchanges. my car is on 55k and running really well. im not too rough through the gears and the car does get driven hard on a regular basis, not every trip, but often enough. i also try to rev match when downhifting. might start using...
