I will buy a genuine boot I think to make it easier.
I don't really want to have to take the shaft out if I can help it.
Its the passanger side that mine has gone, which is the gearbox side? I had the gearbox oil changed recently and don't fancy getting more if I can help it.
I was under the impression you had to be registered as a trader to have insurance.
Also, I was under the impression that it covered you to drive cars that aren't in your name. I.E cars you bought, as a trader, to sell on.
I imagine a multicar policy would be cheaper.
When fitting my coilovers my shock slammed down onto the CV boot and caused a small hole near the clip by the hub. I thought it would be reet as it was a very small nick out of it :o
Now I have noticed lots of grease coming out of it so will need to replace it.
I read that it needs to be...
I don't find mine soft.
Harder than my Cup shocks which I thought were stiff for standard.
If I jump on my sills I hardly get any movement, mainly tyre flex.
Theres a thread at the end of page 1 in the media section.
I was in the same boat. I was unsure how small they would look on a ph2.
When it was standard height, my Cup looked silly on 15s.
Now it is on coilovers, it looks fine.
£126 for 4 15" tyres delivered! Thats what did it for me.
Going to raise mine to that height this week.
Scrubbing has got even worse now they have settled. Did you bend the bumper bracket out the way at that height?
I'm not finding them soft.
I raised it so I have 2 inches of threads on the front. Which is still rediculous as it rubs on the bumper brackets. Have cut the liner out and it still rubs going left so I need to trim it some more.
Will defo raise it again to the heights shown in this thread...
Lowered it today on the 15s..
Measured up 20 threads from the bottom of my KTR coilovers and thought I would start at that and see what adjustment was needed..
That ended up lowering it 100mm at the front leaving me with minimal clearence!
Need to get it up in the air again and raise it an...
I have only ever had cars lowered on springs also.
I find my 172 cup is fairly stiff as standard. In all fairness as long as its not softer than that I am happy.
Hopefully should fit them on Saturday if I can get the entusiasm. Over a year they have been in the box in my loft!
In all fairness there are going to be probably 5 of us at most at a meet. So there is no need to go to a huge car park. How about meeting at a pub car park or something and then at least we don't look like yobs.
How long will it take you?
And how much in materials will it cost.
If it takes 4 hours, and you charge £30, using a fivers worth of cleaning products will only earn you £6.25 an hour.
Alternatively, if you actually enjoy cleaning cars, and fancy a bit of cash in your hand then its £30 for...
Ive washed mine a handful of times in a year and need to get some wax on it so a cleaning sesh is in order!
I noticed a thread where you wanted to see the differences of Mondial and the Vee colour. Would be good to see the difference. Good excuse for me to peer in your boot :approve:
Do the coilovers and seats and leave it at that and be happy with it IMO.
Start spending silly amounts on tuning and you will regret it later when you wish that extra £1k went towards the house deposit.
I thought my house was on fire the other night. Could smell burning but no idea where from. Even went in the attic to investigate. I used my nose to follow the scent like a blood hound.
A bloody fly had landed on the lamp and was frying.
When I realised I was so releaved.
Edit. Gah not car...
