When fitting my coilovers my shock slammed down onto the CV boot and caused a small hole near the clip by the hub. I thought it would be reet as it was a very small nick out of it
Now I have noticed lots of grease coming out of it so will need to replace it.
I read that it needs to be fitted with a cone tool as a genuine boot is a hard rubber/plastic.
So I was contemplating whether to buy a non genuine so I can slide it over. Do you still need a sphere tool to fit non genuines?
I went to my local motor factors and they listed 5 different sized boots for my car. So would be easier to just get one from Renault.. But I worry about needing this tool.
Annoys me that the boot was fine until I messed up :dapprove:
So where can you buy this tool? I am hoping the shaft doesn't need to be removed to do the outer boot.
