Has anyone got a pic of their top engine mount, on the left hand side looking at it? Mine has a fair gap between the rubber and the mount and wondered if it was normal, or had worn lots. 172 Cup if it helps

Standard rear lights look better IMO opinion, I think any lights that arent original on the rear makes people behind you think you could be a barry. Looking very clean otherwise! Whats it lowered on?

Where have you bought coilovers from? I am after some for my 172 cup, but not sure what places to buy them from. A cheap place that sells many makes of coilovers would be ideal

What suspension have you put on it?

Removed my standard air box from my 172 cup the other day, and replaced it with a viper filter coming from the standard elbow, with a cold air feed from the end of the viper, going past the battery down to the acoustic valve pipe opening. Since then the car sounds better, but doesn't seem to go...

I paid 330 to have supplied and fitted: cambelt and aux belt done, new oil, new plugs. Was an ex Renault mechanic that did it at a garage local to me. Renault would have wanted about 800 to do the same!!

I declared mine before I fitted it as Ive had a 172 Viper filter for years lying around. Think its lost me torque though so may lose the noise and take it off.

Dash doesnt rattle like my Peugeot, but the tyres can be heard fairly loudly inside. If your that bothered, buy something thats silent. Gota take the rough with the smooth. Like said already, its part of the fun.

Only had the cup a week but really suprised how good it is on fuel! My GTi-6 has a 60 litre tank so costs more to fill up, and only get around 25mpg in that. Had 45 the other day driving like a granny and 30 when giving it some size 12s. Give it a year and it should pay for its self :D

What manufacutures produce decats for the 172? Ive had a magnex on my GTi6 and the quality of it was good.

Im looking at a 2003 172 cup, But have noticed that the Drivers side door doesnt have a lock, whereas the passenger side does. Is this something that changed in 2003? because I have seen the same on another 2003 172 cup, yet locks on both sides on a 2002 cup. I also notice the drivers side...

Have found another since. Slightly cheaper, less milage and less owners. Looked to be in better condition but needs a cambelt. At least doing the cambelt its piece of mind, and the bodywork looks A1
