Taking the calipers apart is going to be my last plan. The handbrake operates it fine, and no fluid is coming from the pipe to the caliper so its going to be something before then.
At some point I will take them apart and clean them up anyway, but hopefully the fault will lie with the brake...
Right,
Had a free dry day so had another look at the car, I took the brake pipe off the caliper to see if there was any fluid coming from this as there wasnt anything coming from the nipple. The pipe slightly dripped, where there should obviously be alot of pressure.
Tried the other rear...
Held the disc while the pedal was applied and it gripped, but didnt think about putting the wheel back on and trying it :o
I wasn't aware there was an order, so cheers for that!
Looking a possibility.
Will get it up on a ramp and check every avenue.
The mate that can have a look at it...
They are testing it on the footbrake.
The caliper was sticky, but was wound out and seemed alright after. Suprised me that the reading is showing as absoloute zero.
I will be bleeding it and checking the lines throughout at the weekend.
I put it down to lack of use and short journeys.
Took my cup for its MOT on Sat, and it failed on the rear braking. 0 one side, 10kg of braking force on the other.
I went home and read up on the VOSA newsletter thing to see whether that was to be expected and had a mate take a look at it as he is also an MOT tester. He took the brakes apart...
Just re ran a quote on their site to see what difference it would make with the no claims bonus, and it went up 400 quid. So ran exactly the same quote as I went through with, and its £500 more. So I won't be ringing them incase they want me to pay more!
Guess its the change of insurance groups?
Suprises me to be honest!
Its fair, but not the kind of thing I would expect them to allow.
Oh. And Admiral never did bother to get back to me yesterday, so I will have to ring them at some point later today. In the mean time I will bring the quote up on confused and see how much cheaper my...
Excellent.
If they mirror them, and offer the same discount as if the NCB was used on both cars, why don't they allow them to be used on more than one vehicle.
I don't know if I am right in saying, but if I mirrored my 4 years NCB on the second vehicle, had an accident, I would go from 0...
Its Admiral that offered me to save money. Was really suprised actually as I started getting shirty with him thinking he was just trying to offer car hire.
Will report back later how much moolah they are giving me back.
I have 4 years NCB on the clio with one company,
Insured the BMW with Admiral but mentioned I have NCB used on another car with another company and that I would be having 0 years NCB on this BMW policy. The lad on the phone confirmed that was the case.
Got a phone call from them today...
Went on MSN the other day, and saw the list of contacts online and offline. Before my eyes the list scrolled up and left me with nothing. It left just a button for adding contacts saying 'your contact list is empty'.
I didnt click on anything by mistake, I presume its a virus or somthing.
I...
Should be getting mine at some point this millenium when they eventually come back in stock. Suppose I have plenty of time to get some apps sorted too.
Xbox360:
Crackdown
Forza Motorsport 3
Dirt
PGR4
Halo 3
There are bound to be better games out ther graphics wise, but for me, these games kept me interested. I have little patience with games yet I felt I actually wanted to complete these.
Its like that in my house with orange, I can get it upstairs, and when its facing a certain way on the armrest of the sofa. In the basement at work a mile away I get full signal. Weird.
Sim only the handset would be 400 odd. I pay £30 a the mo and have half that amount of mins, not that I use...
In all my years of having various mobiles, I have never used T mobile.
Anything in particular I should know about them?
I have been with orange the last 5+ years, so can't imagine they are much worse.
They offer a larger internet usage than other companies I am looking at, just unsure if...
Vodaphone is alright here, there is a mast about half a mile from my house which would be ideal.
Thinking about it it would annoy me if I payed a substantial amount monthly just to get an iPhone, and then wait until at least june 2010 to get an upgrade. Will be a year out of date by then like...
I am currently using a phone that was released in 2003 as my old SE buggered up a year ago. I am not a willy waver really so not too bothered if I got an iPhone that was out of date in 6 months.
When I said deal, I was looking for what was the better package to get. Would happily pay 40 a...
Whens the new one out?
My current contract is at 18 months now, so i'm tempted to give them the 30 days notice, and then hang on and see what new deals are about in the new year. But I may lose my number if I dont use the PAC code in a certain period of time, which I don't want.
Il have a play with one in a phone shop at the weekend and see if it takes my fancy. Are they likely to make many applications for it in the future? People are bound to continue to make the iPhone future proof with long term support. I worry that with something like the HTC that it will be...
Really don't fancy being tied in for 24 months.
Would be wary going for HTC as I have never heard of them. Is it a brand new company or were they something else before?
