    Which shampoo recommendations?

Best smelling one by miles and it properly suds up if you buzz the bucket with the jet washer. I use 1 capful per wash.

Have a go hero here mate. I’d say priming is deffo worth it and let the primer cure fully. Lightly flat the primer back with some 1500/2000 set dry and before you paint your top colour. Makes for a better finish as you’ll sand any ridges left in the primer. What part is it youre painting

The move to electrification was an optimistic target as it was. All manufacturers have just been given a blank order “this is what we want” with the powers that be having given no foresight as to how we actually get there. EV and battery technology is advancing every day, but there are still...

    Sheepskin wash mitt ☹️

Used all sorts over the years and like you have found the lambs wool ones just don’t last. They rot from the inside out and just disintegrate. Highly recommend the Gtechniq mitts. I keep mine clean and hang to dry after use and they last years. Keep one for your wheels and dirty areas and one...

CarPro Reset is my personal favourite.

Not at all as its no different to how it is now. The front of the car is a massively high pressure area. Imagine that air pressure at speed and its why you see bonnets blow off and straight up when their latches fail. The underside of the car is a low pressure zone and air will be going into the...

Probably because I’m an automotive development engineer and see the amount of work that goes into creating these cars to be driven. The hundreds of thousands of man hours to develop performance cars especially is massive. Buying cars with a sensible head because they’re sought after is...

I'm an automotive development engineer and had a mate make it for me in another area of the building. Im not on the tools anymore so don't get to play with cars that much these days. He took my cooler and vacuum formed a duct to the design i wanted. Boxed like that, the air simply has nowhere...

Still doesn't make sense to me. You should buy a car to enjoy its driving and ownership experience as a primary function. If it makes money over time, great, if it doesn't, then its the same as any other car. If i still owned my Sierra Cossie now, who knows what it would be worth, but id have...

Investment is one thing. But we should be investing in our enjoyment, not speculating on if our bank balance will increase from it. My car is now touching 124k miles and I’ll continue to drive it and enjoy it. If in 10 years it’s worth £3k or £10k won’t matter. Because I will have used it and...

Man i hope the investment w*****s don't descend on Clios. Its bad enough the Porsche lot keep banging on about values and what's the best spec for resale blah blah. Anyone who invests in any automobile for anything other and pure driving enjoyment is clearly missing the point.

Is there not a Haynes manual for the 182?

Thank you so much. I’ll download those later when I’m back on a pc.

This is why yours runs successfully when others don't. Every car, not just the performance car is designed to cope to run in parameters far in excess of their usage criteria. People want to do things on a shoe string for pennies that's just lashed together and then moan when it breaks. This is...

    Electrox over hydrate 80

Well that's your call mate, either way you have given it more protection than was obviously there. You have gone to the effort of dropping the tank so i think id wait and put some zinc coat on there and some paint. But that's entirely your call. You're certainly not going to do any more harm...

    Electrox over hydrate 80

Personally ive always put Electrox over H80, then a colour as i want to offer the panel as much protection as possible. But i guess as H80 dries to a wax finish, you could go straight to Dynax. Depends on your level of aesthetic required i guess

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Penis Wizard as seemingly everyone seems to call it :D Ive always wanted to put a private reg on it but its so identifiable by the WZD plate, i cant bring myself to do it. Lol, shes not mint, my idea of mint anyway :D

Arguably it will be under more load and with poorly airflow on the dyno than is seen on the road anyway. So will give you a good indication as to charge temps anyway. The only thing you won’t easily do on a normal dyno run is the sustained load as experienced on say a 20 min track session. As...
