@Nick172Cup as I alluded to in my post I have neither the expertise not experience to comment. I simply know/knew Dan has knowledge and experience that is relevant to this discussion and thought he may be interested in contributing. As far as I know, getting 200bhp was deliberately just that, an...
I got Dan@SJM to set my headlights permanently on via clip. First thing I do in any car is turn the headlights on. I think it looks fine. Couldn't give a flying monkey ^&*0 anyway even if it does look s**t. Personally, I'd rather be seen.
I noticed a significant increase in vibration after powerflexing my dogbone, but it settled down to perfectly acceptable levels after a week or two an improved the gear stick feel massively. When I then installed VibraTech mounts I noticed next to no increase in vibration. If there was one it...
Interesting to see a specialist say that. I've felt someones clutch after having it replaced with a Valeo one and it was considerably lighter. Any more info on why they're so heavy out the box?
I would have thought the cheapest will be to buy a rear caliper and send it to Bigg Red if you really want a refurbed unit. That does seem a good price though if it's £66 delivered to you. Second hand caliper £10-20 delivered from a private breaker. Get them to post it straight to Bigg Red for...
Sorry to necro a super old thread, but I found this useful today! As a result (and because I was bored) I decided to reformat and PDF it for later use!
If anyone wants it they can download it here.
You could disconnect the n/s rear hose, front passenger side of the rear beam and see if it leaks any fluid. Might help in diagnosing where along the system the problem is, as if fluids getting to there, it stands to reason that it's some of the pipe work on the rear beam at fault if the...
UCH is matched with ECU so he'd need that too.
I'd check the fuses in the box n/s end of dash. There's a 5A or 15A (or something like that) fuse that can affect all the internal electrics. @Carlv8415 had it go on his and your symptoms sound similar. He was unable to start the car at all, no...
Thanks mate! Have been trying to 'stay classy' and relatively OE/OE+. I guess that will change a bit with the rims, but they are just too much eye candy to resist and I fancy doing something a little different! Seems to me almost all Clio's on not on 1*2 alloys are on Oz F1's, Turinis or 2118's...
If anyone c***s up soldering their CC panle PCB, then I have a working spare (just pcb, no casing etc).
Personally, I just bought the kit from CrazyLEDs.co.uk. £22 delivered with everything you need to do clocks, cd player, speedo, window switches and CC panel. The guy is incredibly helpful via...
Did you do these yourself, or a mechanic did them for you? If it's the latter, I'd have been having a word with the garage that did the work as they clearly did a piss poor job and simply free'd the caliper to pass an MOT instead of properly rebuilding it for longevity.
OP, I would rebuild the...
Not sure about the 200's, but the mk2 keys cannot be reprogrammed, the memory on the PCB board inside the key can only be written to once.
To the best of my knowledge (for mk2's), the issue isn't necessarily with reprogramming the key anyway, as the immobiliser can be reprogrammed with Renault...
I voted no, but I think the question is vague.
The OE intake, IMO, won't suffer much if at all from heatsoak whereas aftermarket induction kits/cone filters do as per Fatty's article. The question doesn't really acknowledge there are already a number of options that have different results though.
Some part numbers from a list I made before, when looking at refreshing my cup packed 182. You'd need to check your car has an SMI rack, but to the best of my knowledge most 182's do.
I also opted for these:
And if you're itching to borderline waste £20... Powerflex Rear Shock Top Mounts...
Vice grips. No jokes.
I used them to remove almost all of my OE hose clips. It can be a bit fiddly clamping them on, but once they're on you can wiggle the clip off the section of pipe that's over the flange and then pull the hose off easily. Tenner or less from almost any hardware/tool shop...
Thanks for that link Diagro! I had to swap my ECU for another one, so this is perfect for me to convert my old spare key to the new ECU which only came with one key!
I personally given the gravity of the false claim on her record would be requesting that someone senior deal with the matter personally and take ownership of the problem until it is resolved.
The linked in idea is a very good one IMO. I once managed to get the business internal address for a...
Car went in for its MOT yesterday. Not before needing a jump start to even get it there though! Battery has definitely given up the ghost! I drove up and down a long flat straight by my house giving the brakes a test, as the garage is down a long winding hill and I'd never tested my rebuilt...
Just a 'checking in' update on this really.
As I mentioned in a previous post, cash is a bit tight at the minute. With that said, I've been up to a few bits. MOT time rolled around so I've put the discs/pads/refurbed front calipers on and bled them through. I was hoping it would be a simple...
Looks great mate!
Might sell my sub and get the same model as your own as that is a nice fit! Like the dial control panel too.
That picture of the sub.. the bulge to the left is what fouls the fit of the PWE-V80!
