It doesn't matter whether its 10k or 2k It still needs to be checked over for problems & issues- especially around replacement parts like gearbox & clutch etc- How many threads appear on here where people have bough used or replacement gearboxes / engines that turned out to be Shi**ers 1850...

The only thing that worries me is the recon gearbox - is it any good how long will it last- looks an ok car, mileage is quite high considering theres a few kicking about on 60k for 2k ish... Also who did the timing belt- was the aux belt changed> what clutch was used? Valeo~? any invoices? S

If 2k is your top end budget I wouldn't bother thinking of a clio 182- I would go for the earlier 172 cup / 172 ff or even a PH1- You will get a mint low mileage example of a FF 172 or PH1 for that money, & a good 172 cup. The problem with people saying they got a good one for 2k is that...
