cheers for the comments it didn't stick at all. just left them shut. open them after each coat, but you don't need to keep them open when spraying.

Somehow I managed to get chewing gum on my seat and it's stuck to it. Any good ways of removing it?

that's really nice. don't colour code it. instead do the side strips and bump strips in the same gloss black colour as the 16v badges, and perhaps get some replica rs sideskirts on there
