    My Black Gold (no)mod thread

A mate of mine had nothing but problems with a spade connector on his starter motor, it kept coming off. Was fine after that was sorted. Yours is probably a similar issue.

    Coilovers Height Adjustment

Stands under the rear sills is fine, as said the rear is so light they never really fold over like the fronts seem to do.

    RECONDITIONED ENGINE - Renault Clio 182 2.0 16v RS Cup F4R 738 - £2150

Yeah a mate of mine had some work done there and said they're very good. But £2k seems a bit steep. Saying that, i haven't worked out what it'd cost to do all that work and make a bit of profit on top.

    RECONDITIONED ENGINE - Renault Clio 182 2.0 16v RS Cup F4R 738 - £2150

😳 Might just be me, but i can't stand seeing that much sealant oozing out of the rocker cover :sneaky:

MK5 Clio RS Line Reversing lights

Common for cars in Europe to only have one reverse light. Possibly an import or a car initially specced for Europe but then came here.

    Nilfisk snowfoam lance

Doubt it. Get one from a detailing supplies website that has the Nilfisk adaptor on it.

    Very liquid looking oil

The only difference would be a slightly reduced oil pressure on cold start, is that right?

    Phase 1 fusebox help!

Although i've found an old pic on google and highlighted what looks like tabs and where they slot into.

    Phase 1 fusebox help!

Not sure if it's the same as the Ph2's but the black/yellow relays go closest to the wing i think.

    Very liquid looking oil

No colder than here then really. Should be ok as it's the 40 rating that's the operating temp spec. Probably just take it easy while it's cold.

    Very liquid looking oil

Are you in a fairly cold country?
  12. Mr Trailer Man

    Very liquid looking oil

That's why it's a bit thinner then, should be 5w40 really.

I've got the Gyeon Quickview, it goes on pretty much the same as RainX. You'll get plenty of cars out of it.

    Detailing Chat & Questions Thread

Shouldn't do, you want at least half a dozen wraps of tape around it, that'll keep it tight then.

Wrap the PTFE the same way that you'd screw it in so that it doesn't unwrap itself.

    Trickle chargers

I've got one of these from years ago, meant for leisure batteries but 12v is 12v 😂 https://www.tayna.co.uk/battery-chargers/numax/leisure-12v-10a/

    Pro race LT

I don't use wheels that require them, just saying it can be a ball ache for those that do.

    Pro race LT

It can be an absolute ball ache without though, especially with bolts and not studs.

172 ABS - self error checking, or can it store faults and fail to self check?

Have you tried driving it first? That might clear it, but not if a sensor is dead.

Replaced alternator now stop and battery lights

Not sure on the yellow fuse box ones, but it's not an ideal repair. The one on that grey plug is the power steering pressure sensor.
