Firstly lol at all the cheeky buggers talking about me :butt:
Sorry to hear about the test guys! Hope you get sorted whichever way you go. I can see both points of view and it is something that I don't think will ever be agreed on. The best way I find is do what you want to do, if people aren't...
Haha LOL at explaining spotify to Tony ;)
Great news on getting the diff all sorted mate I can't wait to see what difference it makes to your times! Should be really interesting next season.
Still can't believe about the tyres mate :(
PMSL at sexy car etc
I'd certainly be up for that Nick...
Haha lol ;)
Thanks Andy, Haha yes not a big deal really just a waste of a few quid for the boss but I can deal with that in comparison to other money i've wasted on this car lol
Get out in the garage and get stuck in mate :) We need to sort a trackday out for next year when you get yours back together! I thought the same I need to find a washer 0.75mm thick and that will spin it 180 degrees so just where I need it
Haha yes Chris it probably will lol!
Yeah really...
Tut Tut Colin :nono: lol!
Haha lets see if the car works first but yeah much more confident doing stuff on the car now than 12 months ago! Can't wait to drive it again really miss blasting it round a track :(
Haha I laughed when my welding guy told me to do it but he's right it works so well :) Finish quantum FTW!!
No I ended up getting him 5 reverse gears and one forwards ;)
Whoooops :quiet: lol ;)
Thank you very much :D
Haha thanks Simon! We will see what happens mate got to look at the grid as a whole instead of just one competitor ;)
Update:
So over the last few weeks I have been sorting out bits for the spare engine (will be used for next season) The plan was to buy something in fairly decent nick and transfer the 421 cams over along with the throttle bodies, tweak the cam timing from how it was originally (was miles off...
Yeah :(! Don't worry no substandard stuff is going back in!
Thanks Russ! Haha I will hopefully keep it looking this good all season :) Hopefully will have some diff news in the next few days! I'm hoping all done and ready to collect before xmas
Haha no mate it's spot on and so is the tensioner unlike the last engine! :D
Haha I thought the same ;)
Thanks Mike :)
Haha I think I need to brighten it up a little more ;) I'll swap you this engine for all the parts you are buying for yours :rasp:
Haha my bad :o
Thanks Andy! Had help from a mate yesterday with the cambelt and as I haven't done one before so made the most of him and his tools to show me the way to do it :)
Haha lol you know it Nick ;)
Haha thanks :)
Yes the dashboard loom is very tricky to cut back. The rear loom from the brown connector back is nice and simple though!
Yeah I would just pop a new loom back in mate! Have a look in the for sale section as there are a few ph1's being broken so should be able to get one...
TDF sticked my rear polycarbs in twice with Tiger seal and they fell out at Anglesey and are loose again now :(! Going to remove and sikaflex them to do the job properly
Does anyone else have an issue with holding the phone in-between their head and shoulder and the other person not hearing then? I can't multitask any longer as I always have to hold the phone
If you have anymore issues with your rivnut tool have a look at memfast rivnut tool I bought one and its a great bit of kit! Uses normal caphead bolts as the mandrel so readily available incase you get a breakage.
Looking great as always can't wait to get mine back painted so I can rebuild...
