Re: Upgrade Time! Clio to a Bora
Oh hi! I feel like I should be here :).
Need any help drop me a shout, had two of these things now so know the ins and outs. Personally would have avoided this engine, I had the 1.6 16v at 17 and not only was it cheap to insure but performance wise it was about...
It looks better when its driving low so it's a pretty legit way of looking at things IMO. The knocking is so bad now, just limped it to my grans house. Had people stop, point and gasp at it scraping at 5mph up her road. Not sure if it was the scraping, or the KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK...
Dan Freeman, making everyone on CS's pictures look boring since '08. Even with just a phone they look epic. Well impressed!

Oh scrooge do PM me!
And I'm from Near Oxford way, work in Milton Keynes in composites. And as said, I'm used to low cars, was just a surprise to f**k it so early. Engine raisers needed!
Cheers fellas, bit of an update!
I BROKE IT ALREADY.
2 Days of these wheels on it, driving it low. Well, discounting when I had the MAM's on it. First casualty is a lot of the underneath, random bits of plastic hanging and bits I've had to rip off. But the main one is a suspected driveshaft...
Oh if you can find any more info on this it'd be grand mate cheers! :) And thanks for the kind words.
Oh you!
Already looking into it! LOL
From today, these show off the less pokey side.....

And this never gets old either...

Yep, quite noticeable. The axel's on all MK4's are about 2 to 5mm shifted towards the drivers side. The tyre is sitting on the arch on the drivers side, whereas on the passenger side there is about maybe 2mm or more clearance.
I drive it 50 miles a day over all sorts of road surfaces. AIR RIDE FTW!
Cheers fellas :) The wheels are Speedline/MIMs. They are basically exactly the same as the front wheels on a RUF CTR Yellowbird, even made by the same company. However they are 5x120 fitment for BMW's. Apparently rare...
Well only just got them machined. Tbh I'll ad a tiny bit of camber on the back, and change the shocks over for shorter ones.
Happens a lot with MK4's. Apparently it's not positive just that there is SO LITTLE camber on the front they look that way, again I will have to adjust it.
Bingo...
Small, small update to the car this weekend. Was a bit gutted when I saw rain this morning, but then the sun came out! Needs some work still. The engine needs raised as I've already got a small leak in this one from scrapes and stuff. Also, due to the unique way of which VW Designed the rear...
They were at Autosport, as ever. I had a little chat with one of the blokes. Clearly very passionate about it, which is great to see. Went through some of the facts and it's just mind boggling. A Cosworth F1 engine... just as an Aux power unit.
I have a late 2011 MBP. Running 10.7.2.
Basically, it spends most of it's time with the lid closed in sleep mode or w/e you call it. But every now and then it needs a restart as it starts running a bit... iffy. Mainly loading web pages, or opening programs like Photoshop (as that's what it...
Had a little ride in my mates A1 188bhp S-Tronic thing. Despite the gearbox it did go f**king well. Was smooth as f**k! And about him being tall, I had a sit in the drivers seat and I'm like 6ft 4 or more than that (a proper lanky fucktard) and I was comfy. But I did look a bit like a clown in a...
I've had a look round one up close and sat in one, have to say it look stunning in the flesh. I prefer it to a lot of supercars including the 458 (which is also stunning). And I don't care what Top Gear says, it is loud.
I have always loved the R33 :(. R34 has always been my least fav of the bunch. R32 is probably the best if I had to choose... Just love the 90's curves of the '33.
