High end dampers will literally transform a car, so well worth what they cost IME. ASTs at £500 a corner for 5100s are the very entry level of decent quality items too when you're talking good quality dampers. Very much a "you get what you pay for" item.

Wipers are just the cheap OEM ones from RPD. Not as nice as Bosch or PIAA but for £12 they’re fine. Will buy nice ones next time. Struts are ebay and absolutely superb quality for the money. From memory you had a Trophy wing so may want slightly shorter struts mate...

Few more parts arrived. New wipers, boot struts, ARB brackets, 197 RS badge and a cheeky keyring. Although still no time to spend on the car, I did at least fit the boot struts which make the tailgate feel like brand new. Well worth it.

Just to keep this updated. Hubs when they arrived, now stripped blasted ready for plating/coating. New SNR bearings on the way with new bottom ball joints and rod ends.

Tuition, tyres and brakes. Items that build confidence in the car and you. Tuition is the most improvement you'll see and you can take that to and from any car.

Not a peep mate. Just hear them click when going in reverse as you apply the brakes and they move in the carriers. Generally in my experience, if brakes squeal, they're not being used hard enough.

Blue point is Laser/Sealey quality though so not comparible to Snap On IME. Even some of the Draper expert stuff is nicer IMO, especially their impact range.

I retained the grommets on my install as they actually locate the hardware properly. My seat sits more than low enough now so the couple of mm the grommets made was negligible.

Quiet most of the time with no drone and enough sporty notes when you’re on it. For a daily driver, it’s pretty much perfect.

Haven’t had any time on the car lately due to other commitments but have at least started the strip down and clean up of the roll centre hubs. I’ve all new bearings and rose joints to fit when they’re reassembled. The plan is to get them fully stripped, blasted and plated before fitting.
