The alternator does look like its seen better days so will have to look at changing it over winter, I might as well do it at the same time as I replace the ac condenser
Some of my neighbours because they only like the noise they make. It's quite ironic that they are the noisiest but if my dog dares to bark once I know about it!
Yeah replacement stalk, I'm not sure whether the problem was there in recent times as I've not used lights in ages but what I would say is that the stalk is less smooth than the old one so maybe its faulty.
I Agree, I think it must be. The only reason I'd ignored that idea was because with the engine running I get 14.something volts so thought it was fine. Any other tests i can do on it?
Still not done this but I have found the photo on my phone if the result last time, it was 13 milliamps. Today after retrofitting cruise control and road testing it all I've found that manually turning the headlights on dips the revs significantly to the point that stationary main beam will...
Been for a drive, all works perfectly, but better than that I now have a new friend. I found this sat wedged in the wiring under the steering column.

I picked up both switches from a 182 but mine had the brake switch fitted and connected up. The clutch switch I got had the wrong connector so I've used the brake switch which I believe will work. I'll report back on that🤞
All done bar the testing! I removed everything from my 182 wheel to fit in my 172 wheel as it was tidier, just needed to trim a little bit out to let the cable protector fit.
So I thought I had all the bits!
I've got-
Esp/cruise dash switches
Both pedal switches
182 wheel + airbag
Should I have picked up a wiring adapter as well?
Agree with Frayz my flamer is on 89k...not such a pretty sight, yet.
As for spacers I've got 15mm hubcentric fronts with camber bolts and 10mm PMS stub axle rears, drives lovely to be honest.
Has anyone found a spray paint that matches closely the metallic colour under the sticky dash parts?
I've stripped the sticky crap off a while ago but I'm not happy with the finish so I'd like to key it, spray than coat in a satin lacquer.
