now i noticed that my cpu seems to be running quite hot(well the fan is spinning fast and there is a lot of hot air coming out the side of the case)
now i just checked my load average an it seems to be floating around 4.xx
now i'm sure this used to be about 1.xx at the most.
i was just...
when someone say tuning a sub box is that they tune to box so that it resonates at a certain frequency.
this is done by altering different things like port length, shape, size and box size.
thats why i prefer a sealed box as it gives you a more even sound output with no real peaks where a ported...
you could have 1 volt preout's it makes a blind bit of difference, you just have to set the gain accordingly.
as for cable yes get a good set of rca's but the supply cables just have to have the right size c.s.a. i wouldn't give a f**k if it was made by poundland or harrods.
no you can't just solder the 6x9's to a phono plug as it won't work.
the only way you could get the 6x9's to work would use the speaker outputs from the hu
right then lets get a few things straight.
the best way to run a sub in is give it it's full power from the start other wise your not going to run it in.
a cap just puts extra load on the electrical system as it draws power away from the amp to charge it's self aafter it's been depleted...
on the mk1 clios there lamps not led's.
and i'd leave those dials alone as my mate bought some and they were just laminated paper print out's of the dials
sorry but a cap can't help voltdrop across the supply cable.
most distortion that people get is clipping hich is here the output voltage is trying to be higher than the voltage rails that supply the output fets inside the amp.
+ when the voltage drops the cap supplysa power to all electrical...
a 50w amp can power a 2kW sub without sending a clipped signal to it.
it's trying to get over 100% out of an amp without knowing what you are doing and having the right tools
anyone know the rough cost to get a new 1.6 16v engine fitted into my car at a renault dealer.
i know they all have there own prices so i'm just looking for a ball park figure.
or if someone could tell me the price of the engine would be a start.
not a slight chanceother wise you'd have to run them at full blast all the time;).
pick what ever amp you feel like just look for the things that will give you the best SQ.
