class d amp will not get as warm as a class a/b
also the fans should be run off a relay controlled by the amp remote cable but supplyed by the +12v from the battery just make sure you got a small fuse (5A max) on the supply lead
i installed ubuntu on (this) my mum's pc and it hasn't phased her that it's not windows.
she even knows how do the updates and her printer just worked and so did the logitech wireless keyboard and mouse:)
it is easy to use and it's normally not much work to get stuff to work if it don't out of...
i had mine replaced the other week through flux
£50 excess on a FC policy
make sure the company who fits it get the right screen (if you have rain sensors you need to tell them)
yeah but there will only be current drawn when the amp is "on"
so it will show 12v+ at the amp but could drop to anything and thus your amp going into protect.
either that or the output hexfet's are toast and the amp is f.u.b.e.r
i'd get it all installed and uprate the earth from the battery - terminal to the car as it is only 8awg.
then if you do get problems uprate the cable from your alt to battery and the other one of the big three that i cant remember for the life of me lol.
then if you are still getting problems...
