The 197 light is much better than the Mk2's, centre of the rev counter, nice and big :)
The 200 even has a nice beep!

It will kangaroo when cold for a min or two, all do this.
Make sure the gearbox is sweet ABOVE 5k rpm, particularly 3rd to 4th. If not, it usually means bad syncro's = expense

H&R, Billies and now KW is what i've used.
Did have a set of Gaz on my old cup, proper nasty, they lasted a month untill I got hold of some H&R's. The difference is night and day
They are better put together than the Mk2. What pieces are you talking about? The steering wheel suffers the same fault as the Mk2's, but everything else feels much better. Only issue i've had interior wise is the speakier grilles rattling. Easily sorted with some squeak tape

I drive a van all week @ work, then come weekend the Clio feels ace! If using it as a daily and especially in town traffic, it would annoy the f**k out of me. Lucky i live in the sticks, B road blast ftw!
Dont get me wrong, i'd have a Mk2 again if i needed to free up some coin as they are fantastic, but day to day, i found my last cup a pain. Heavy clutch/ rattly cabin. The mk3 is a MUCH nicer place to be day to day.... Still thats the problem with the pcp deal, you either need to stump up...
Think I'd rather have a new quarter in that? nothing worse than a panel full of filler whilst looking down the flanks!
Also that would need a fair kick to induce that, I tried to kick something similar out of my old Punto GT, and it takes loads more effort than you think!

Imo its madness, the mk2's feel soooooooooo old when you've had a mk3. It'll annoy the f**k out of you, it did when i sold my first 197 to go back to a 172 Cup.
Hmm, less arch gap, but I bet it sits higher, and the 18's wont help the acceleration imo. Paint looks ace though :)
