Depends on the offset of the wheel. A bugger to find on second hand Pro Race 1.2s.
You need to make sure the centre bore is correct (60.1mm IIRC) and they are 4x100 PCD. I'm not sure what offset the 1.2 Clios are, I would guess between et35 and et45 so worth searching for that.
And if you go...
I hate comparison sites, I don't even bother with them. I found cheaper to go direct. You may still be able to get a refund from elephant (especially using the change in price as a reason) which might be worth looking into. Admiral and elephant have always provided quotes within a few pounds of...
Why didn't you just go with Admiral in the 1st place?
Although I'm wondering more how you're going to live with your partner if all of your wages goes on car insurance?
Edit: usually only specialists like Flux, Sky, etc let you have non-performance mods for free. Everyday companies do not like...
I would talk to manager and see if he/she can do anything. Obviously, they're just brokers but they should be able to sort out deals with the underwriters. That's a big jump in price. Do they not have a policy to hold a quote price for a certain number of days?
What about OZ Supers or Ultras? Around 5kgs aren't they?
I'm a little surprised 1.2s are so commonly used in racing, they're quite brittle, my mate went over a pothole last year and cracked large enough to see daylight between the rim and the spoke! I'll see if I can find the pic.
Welcome mate.
As said Alpine headunit (I'll have an iPod & Bluetooth one available soon ;) ) and an active sub in the boot for the "boom" and upgrade the front components (tweeter and midrange on each side designed to work together) and it'll sound great.
Couple from last year that I don't think I've posted. These are straight off the camera, no editting or processing yet.
A little bit dark. I think the Stigma and a couple of anthers are just in focus.
If the camber is not too aggressive, then that should be ok. Did you have your tracking done after fitting/adjusting coilovers? That could be part of the problem.
Definitely an MOT failure. And illegal too so if you get pulled you could get 3 points per illegal tyre, so no driving to attract attention today.
The risk of swapping fronts and rears is that you'll need 4 tyres instead of 2 pretty soon. Try and get your tracking done before your drive and...
Revels I completely see your point. There are much better photos but for me it fitted the theme best.
I feel a tad foolish having voted for 10, you're correct in a way that it should be about the best picture that fits the theme (I assume best in terms of quality, skill and camera knowhow?)...
Save more or spend less if you don't want a loan.
There are loads of insurance companies out there, try them all. It's worth spending some time on. Specialists like Brentacre and others are more useful if you have mods. If you want to keep it standard, just go with an everyday company. But if...
Is it still ok to wipe off with detailing spray and a MF if it was washed 2 or 3 days ago? I don't want to risk ruining the paint but there is a lot of yellow dust & pollen around my area.
Great video, really well put together.
Car looks great and I like the sound of that, I miss having a raspy sounding exhaust. And the boys at JMS have done a great job with Henk on that map, the original was insanely loud!
Where abouts in Reading was that? A great road for vids.
I hadn't thought this through clearly. I was hoping to be done within 3-4hrs lol
The last time I polished was 7 years ago. I had a red Rover, which was already heavily oxidised and I didn't buff out the polish properly, so it looked a light shade of pink :s lol I think I'll split it for now then!
Great, thanks Gally! There's a lot of info in the detailing section and it's pretty confusing for newbies but that's excellent info. Just what I've been wanting to know.
A couple of quick Qs if you don't mind (sorry if they seem silly):
1. Does de-tar only need to be used where tar can be...
So would you the follwing be ok:
Rinse, wash, rinse, AG tar remover if a little tar/Tardis if a lot, rinse, clay, rinse (or wash??), hand polish with SRP, wax/sealent
I don't want to spend more than a few hours on it tomorrow so if that's not ok, I'll just wash it for now and get some tardis...
Thanks Luke. I'll have to decide if it's worth claying and waxing tomorrow then as I don't want to spend too long on it. Just want it looking all clean and shiny for the family to see.
If I'm just claying the bonnet and front bumper for now for bug removal etc, will my car look stupid with...
Great thread to pop up as I'm doing my first proper clean with clay etc.
Is it worth sealing/waxing if I plan on giving the car a proper polishing in about a months time to remove swirls? Or will it make the polishing longer or more hard work?
I'm got the 3GS and I'll be waiting for the 5. Would have bought the 4 last year but things took a bit of a down turn last summer so decided to leave it. I was prepared to wait another couple of months for the 5 so another 2 or 3 isn't the end of the world.
