109k. 60k of that with a map. It's been faultless. But I maintain it well. Serviced at a specialist, all the mods done correctly, and all the right precautions (cam follower changed every service, run on v power).
Most of the cars I've looked at (especially the Leon's) seem to have been...
Prices, bizarrely, seem to be on the up. I paid 5k iirc, the equivalent today is at least 1k more. Fl even more.

I hate buying cars now. I've been to look at a few golf gti's, Leon's etc. Way less miles than the octavia, but nowhere near as cared for. Jump back into mine, and it feels far fresher.

Possible to copy conversations over? It's easy if switching from one android device to another, but can't figure out how when going apple to android. Seems the backups are in icloud and can't get to them.
Comparing new f1's (which were on prev), to new ps4, I've got roughly half the mileage out of them. And the f1's were subjected to a car control day, on a very abrasive airfield.

I like the ps4, but they don't wear well. Changed the fronts from f1's in Nov, to ps4. They've already got less tread than the f1's which are 20k older on the rear (and have done an airfield day).
They're good, but not enough to justify changing twice a year.

I don't even know why. It was an enjoyable thing, good on track etc. Just not memorable. I've owned worse cars, that I miss more.

It the torque, it's a big jump in all fairness. It's debatable wether the extra makes it more fun, but I couldn't go back to a standard one.

Of course it f**king was lol. But comparing modified cars to standard is pointless. Standard vs standard there isn't much in it.

Tbh, flat-out an r26 isn't that much quicker than a 200. But the extra midrange means that getting past dawdlers is much easier, and the diff adds a dimension that the 200 can't touch.
Owned both, I remember the r26 fondly. I barely remember the 200.
I've been keeping an eye out for a late 5dr...
Every mapper I spoke to advised that the standard clutch in the mk5 gti cars wasn't recommended above 300lbft. Whereas the dsg they were happy to go beyond. No idea if it's the same part in the s3 etc, but seems pretty par for the course with vag. S4 the same, dsg takes power far better.

Weird engine. Throttle response is odd, nothing nothing bang. Then all the power seems to arrive in one go, completely overwhelming the chassis.
New ones meant to be much better (revised mapping etc). It's not a patch on the c63 (imo)

They either fit you well, or poorly! One of the issues is that because they don't have switchable tips, you're stuck if they don't. For the money, the sound quality is very, very average. But with such an open design, that's not surprising.
You're paying a premium for the integration, which is...
Not having that. It's the point of testing. The testing regime modern cars go through is designed to be tougher than what most owners would subject a car to.
I imagine it showed up that a small number could be affected, someone crunched the numbers and decided that putting the fix in place for...
Not sure if it's been mentioned, but what about the later a3? The 3.2 is a good option for that budget. And they're much better to drive than the older s3 imo. The mk5 golf platform is a much better starting point.
