http://www.alloywheels.com/tyrecalc.asp This will show about 7% difference between sizes which is more than usually recommended IIRC. Maybe try 195/45/16 instead. If you're on standard suspension, 55 may fit ok but I personally wouldn't want to try.

It'll be fine if maintained and serviced correctly. A few on here on 100k+ miles going strong. Seem to get better as they do more mile.

I've run on all the fuels and tbh on a standard 172 engine, I can't say I've noticed any difference in performance between Shell's, Tesco's or Sainsbury's supers or regulars. I can't really tell if any better MPGs or not as my driving is so varied.

What I was thinking. TBH I think his looks quite good but unless you 100% trust him and that it's as well kept as yours, I'd be a bit iffy about swapping and go for all his mods instead. Think white wheels would look good on yours, esp on coilies.

Sounds like dead battery. Mine wouldn't jump start either. AA guy came out, battery was putting out less than 12v, he said it needs to be around 12.5+v IIRC. Plugged in his booster pack, it started, let it charge and was fine until the next day when I got it replaced. Has a similar issue of...
