That's as maybe, but kick off at them about £90 and next time you bulkhead the throttle dont be surprised if the bullshit goes all up your leg ;)
Damn I'm good at exaggeration.
ha!
quotes are estimates fella, you'll pay what they charge or find a freshly curled turd buried behind the cockpit carpet, nice and close to the heaters.
Unless it's got some sort of pauper rear suspension set-up, swapping out a pair of springs isn't the work of a moment, surely.
Strut out. Swap springs, strut back in....even on my Tesco Value roadster that's a good couple of hours
Do you think you'll actually own the car in 5 years time?
If not, then does it matter if you lose 5 months of cambelt life? I'd rather change a few months early than have it snap at 5years, 1day and have to suck up the cost of a new head/engine.
Thought as much.
I'd rather just buy a TAG than buy a new e-watch every other year after the battery c***s itself, or you get it damp in the wrong way once.
In fact, sod it, Casio calculator watch with IR sender, thats about as smart as a watch needs to be, and it doesn't give a back-door...
@Tom
I'm totally struggling to see any point in these, apart from for, maybe, the running types who MUST know their pulse every time they breath in.
Can you shed some light on actually useful applications for these things?
Whether it's a phone or a laptop, if you wash it, it's going to be fucked.
Level of fucked? Well, anywhere from a rattly microphone to a totally dead brick.
Basically,it if it's not turning on now, you're not getting any data off of it.
Depends on how much sidewall you want to have and retain the same rolling profile, I guess.
That said, it's not like you need a fully accurate speedo on a genuine race-only car and (correct me if I'm wrong here), sidewall isn't good for pin-sharp handling.
If you've designed them in CAD, just do a selection of different coloured example pics. But typically I'd imagine:-
Silver
Black
"Cabrone"
Ampasand
Blue
Red
White
That would cover most peeps
Do some CAD renderings of the kind of thing you're thinking about and post them up, see what interest you get with a speculative price point that will cover your costs with a bit of profit.
Then you can always rinse the eBay buyers for obscene costs.
Absolutely, but you'll need to produce something worth spending the extra on, that's my point. "not as good"? Gonna need to prove it.
And in a range of finishes as not everyone will want "Cabrone Fiber" effect.
Essentially, make some, see if they sell. Then you'll have your answer. But you...
given the wide number of alternative options, from eBay and such the like. Probably not a lot. You'll either need to compete on price or produce something so completely different and amazing that people will pay the difference.
Also, how much do some standard badges and a couple of rattle cans...
