Do you think you'll actually own the car in 5 years time? If not, then does it matter if you lose 5 months of cambelt life? I'd rather change a few months early than have it snap at 5years, 1day and have to suck up the cost of a new head/engine.

Depends on how much sidewall you want to have and retain the same rolling profile, I guess. That said, it's not like you need a fully accurate speedo on a genuine race-only car and (correct me if I'm wrong here), sidewall isn't good for pin-sharp handling.
