Rallye.
1% less likely to fall apart within 5 miles, and hasn't got all the stickers to prove how much it's had the s**t kicked out of it already.
EDIT: Also, if you took the Rallye and de-modded it, it'll actually gain value.
EDIT2: It's also a lot nicer
Anything that can help it sound like like Tanders' company car would be a good move.
Also, slapping a Holden Lion up the sides would be full of all the flavours of win.
(I know this is a Commodore, not a Monaro, but same idea) ;)
Also, hero.
Finally. Nose dragging TT's are for girls and...
not a problem fella, it's what the forum is here for :)
Summarise:
1) get a new head unit
2) sound-deaden your doors
3) get a sub and amplifier that suits your budget
ALso, keep your original stereo because then, at resale time, you can take all the new stuff out to put in your next car. I've...
in a word. no.
Which is why you should get the head unit sorted first. Indeed, it was a waste of effort changing your speakers at all since the originals are actually pretty good once you take bass off of them and feed them signal from a decent stereo
here's what I'd suggest, without being a budget-blower:-
HU
Sub and amp
This in your doors
This behing the lining in the boot
You cant really run a sub from a headunit....it will either not work at all or be ultra-pap.
you can wire the sub to a standard HU, but you;ll lose your rear speakers as the speaker wires will feed into the sub as a "speaker line input".
As said, wait until you can get a decent HU in place before you go any further
OK.
You need a new head unit before you even think to do anything more. The weakest part of your setup is the HU at this point.
Indeed, your new speakers are a waste at this time
You're going to be looking at considerably more than £40 fella 😧
I'm using one of THESE in the Mazda, it helps flesh out the low-end but it's nothing like a chavvy BOOMZ box
but since you have a hatchback, if you don't mind losing a bit of boot space....
This?
Or maybe this?
As for the...
You wont get any kind of heavy bass out of the speakers that fit in the stock holes, even if you cut them out.
A little sub in the boot would be the solution. Or an underseat number if you don't want to lose boot space (although these have less output, generally).
lol ok
Up to a point the TT may keep up, but eventually that weenie 1.8 with a fan in the exhaust will have to give way to raw petrol-burning.
Quite possibly when the first corner comes into sight.
Clio gearboxes are made of bits of old string and cardboard. Not useful in a car that owners will invariably drive like stolen at some point, if not all the time.
As such, yeah, gearboxes and clutches are common failures.
A service isn't a fault though, that's just maintenance.
Most people have issues with phone networks when they get a bill, nothing new there.
But seriously, login and have a look, if something is actually wrong, THEN get on hold to them.
Out of interest, when you bought / upgraded your last phone, did you take any kind of discounted-rental deal? As...
