Crunching on downshift is IIRC usually the start & upshift is when its getting worse S

If its crunching on the downshift its a Warranty gearbox job through RUK s

Gearbox on RS models are always difficult when its very cold- some are good some are pisch- If it starts crunching - noticable first usually on the downshift then get it in to renault or speak to RUK They have had loads of knackered 197 & 200 gearboxes / syncros to replace- they are made out...

its a nice car- however for that price tag Its not that unique- THe wheels dont suit it & the GT spoiler ruins the rear just like it does on every 200- Nice chairs- however I would stick to a standard well specced 200- & wrap it matt grey if you were that desperate! S
