got 17s on mine no problem with rubbing and clearence hadels great running 205/40/17s when from 195/50/15s.

195/50/15 cheap more choise of tyres and also closets sive to ur original size so will keep the speedo correct.

great cars mine might be up for sale once ive fix the gearbox.

mines on 130k my gear box is dead but cluch was fine. replaceing it anyway whilst the box is out. most garages would charge 120-160 lab 3-4 hours work.

think i got a ring from eurocarparts for 15pounds trade.

will pass no problem have passed loads of cars and in the testers guide its worded If a belt is fitted, but there is no corresponding seat it is NOT considered to be a seat belt, for the purpose of this inspection.

number plate are a testable item have a look on www.motuk.co.uk/manual/contents.htm has the testers guide on there with the info about every part of the test.

kwik fit are very cheap for serviceing and only use moble 1 oil.

if ur in wiltshire or close bring it to me to mot lol. kwickit are ok for mots but charge for retests.

can go forged if you want a stronger bottom end and can run valve cut outs do can run higher spec cam lift.

needs to be the same size. you get ten working days for retest that will be a partial test and can be charged at 1/2 test fee wheels and tyres are by the end of the next working day and its free. the can not fail the spare wheel what ever condition it is in as its not a testable item they can...

did the non rsi 1.6 16vs use a diffrent box to the rsi?

ifs its haveing a full service they will pick up anyting thats wrong with it.

brake pads? wash the dust of with a pressure washer or use brake cleaner.

yea can get loads of jb3 boxes but not the same as mine. was it just the jb3958 they use in the rsi and 1.6 16vs?

yea it will be fine for an mot as it will be scure ive never had a proble and passed loads with them fitted. sound to me as the spring is not sat at its stop proberly due to brakeing failed quite afew on snaped sandered springs. take it to another garage and get a second opion.
