My 1.4 does this, Ive found that taking the throttle body off and cleaning it helps short term.
I think that the 2004 has the metal throttle body - mine has a plastic one and have been advised to replace it with a metal one costing roughly £120 for the TB plus booking it in to be programmed etc.
Doubt he is on here either tbh!
Im pretty sure he's only just passed his test as he didnt know which side his fuel cap was on!
I was merrily filling up my car - the old man's was on the other side of the same pump - he'd moved forward to let this guy fill up while he went and paid.
The clio dude...
You'd need a blade cut, the car booked into renault, put on clip and reporgrammed at £80+ then they dont garantee it to work as its not genuine etc up to you but some dealers wont programme keys not bought through them.
da talks truth, youd be wasting your money buying a key from ebay. Youre only option pretty much is to go to the dealer, or TRY road radio for an alarm system if you have one near you?

Anyone who has access to renault database i,e works in parts or knows someone who does will be able to tell u the dates and spec it was manufactured with
all you have to do is take your car to any Renault dealership and ask for the bonnet catch recall to be done, they should also give your car a quick look over too for free.
