Meh. It's all about buying the right car in the first place. I've had 7 clios, only 'failure' in 400k miles between them (including many track days) was a lambda sensor, an injector and a speedo sensor. All minor things.
Buy a bad one (clio, civic or any car!) and you'll have issues.
Cannot recommend the anti lift kit, and anti roll bar enough. They've made a massive difference to mine, think I'd rather give up the remap than the suspension mods!
I'll preface this by acknowledging that's yes, it's a skoda. Yes it's fugly. And no, you can't polish a turd.
Original
Potential new choice (crap photoshop, they'd be anthracite)
No. Nav, auto parking, bixenon cornering lights. I don't think there are any options, bar full leather to tick. Given that it comes with half alcantara heated seats, I wouldn't even think of having them!
1k deposit and 240 per month for a loaded 230. Granted it's a grand more over 2yrs, but it's a much nicer car.
But if Max cheapness was the aim, fair enough. Do you have something to have fun in as well?
I don't personally get it. It's the same money per month roughly as an octavia vrs. But from reading, it's got less boot space, is slower, has a less pleasant interior?
Yeah I've got one. The plastic edges chip a bit when you drop it (which I do).
Other than that, I've zero complaints. Battery life is superb, camera is good, cheap noise cancellation using Sony headphones. It's very quick running marshmallow.
