I already compete in this class and it aint cheap if you want to be competitive. The proposed regs are much better for cheap racing ;)

Ah right ;) If they are saying exhaust is free then that makes sense but if they are saying swap oem parts from similar models then its opening up a can of worms and opening the regs up to much greater scope of interpretation. Keep it simple

It says standard manifold and wheel size. I assume that meansa 182 manifild on a 172 is not allowed and wheels must be 16x7 Ive not read my bluebook for racing yet (im lazy) but for sprinting a catch tank is only needed if running a breath to atmosphere. Is 2L tank manditory for this...

Gearbox cracked releasing fluid

Really enjoyed watching the racing today. Has given me a real taste for getting involved in the new class next year. Was stunned how quick Tony and James were round Oulton :cool: just a shame to see a bit of misfortune for them both in the 1st race :(

I had the same concerns before trying it. On paper the price per track mile/ time is extortionate but its completely different to track days. Because youre against the clock and competing against others its brilliant fun. Because you do so few laps and therefore very little wear on tyres...
