Thanks pal :)
I got the mats from Renault Parts Direct http://renaultpartsdirect.co.uk/products/Renault-Megane-R26-Carpet-Mats-%28Renault-Sport%29.html
Oh yeah, I forgot about that, Did you fit the cloth one or the leather one?.
Yes! Whens your next track day? lol. I'll call shotgun on a passenger ride lol!.
The summer can't come soon enough. I'm interested to have a look at your ST, I like the look of them.
I can't say I've seen an R26 or 225 around my area. I think I saw a black 225 a while back. Its nice having the only LY R26 around to my knowledge lol. The colour is fantastic, not too sure about in the sun, when we get some I'll let you know! haha.
Couple of pics I took today,
Gave the engine...
Love the torque. Cool you'll have to keep us updated and let us know what it sounds like with the centre box chopped.
What did you go for? Stage 1? What figures did you make?.
Looks tidy mate and the clio looks good too lol. Wish I'd been able to keep both.
Yeah I'm going to the rr day in feb so might load it on and check it out on there. If it's not that impressive I might make the trip in the summer to have it live mapped.
How you finding it so far?
Oh yeah I remember you got yours the same day I got mine iirc. Wasn't you having trouble with the linkage?
As for Henks map, I really rated it on the 182. It mad a solid 180bhp at the surrey rolling road day and pulls like a train.
I couldn't fault the ds2500 either for road use I never had...
Thanks for the info, I do recall reading about that on the Megane forum.
Yeah, I done my 182 two year ago and kept the tools, Same engine (F4R) in the Megane, minus the dephaser pulley. The biggest problem is the access and how tight it is down the side of the engine. I'm not sure which one was...
I did get a few snaps when doing some of the jobs, they don't give much away though.
Bumper off to fit HIDS

Glove box out to fit my Renault Tunepoint as I needed to drill a hole to run the wire into the glove box

Hids...
No plans for exhaust yet. I'm enjoying the civilised experience at the moment after 3 years with a yozza on the 182 lol.
I will have to do something with the brakes. The front discs were an advisory on the last mot. But I'll probably keep it fairly standard they already have drilled brembo...
Cool I'll have a look at them tires.
Really? I found the clio more confidence inspiring although it's true i can't compare it to the clio at all at the moment with the crap tires and wet roads.
I'm not sure how it works tbh. The generic stage 1 map ups the boost from 12psi(0.8 bar) to 18psi(1.2 bar) as does the live map as far as I'm aware?.
I don't really know how they squeeze more out of a live map? must be to do with fueling/ignition timing I should imagine?.
If it was an argument...
I'm probably going to put the stage one map on using the RStuner which is the more favourable option as its going to cost 150 euro.
The alternative is to goto Paul at RStuning but that's in leeds so probably a 500 mile round trip for me plus the £400 for the mapping or whatever it is.
Paul...
So done 1200 miles in it now, and loving it.
Managed to squeeze 42mpg out of it on a long run and I seem to be managing 350 miles out of a tank using v power. Unfortunately still haven't been able to push the car due to the weather. Its been shocking.
So far..
Full Service
Cam belt, aux belt...
Noooo not yet. Probably before the rolling road day.
Fitted my tune point today and my hids. The hids are a vast improvement over the standard bulbs.
Service in the morning along with the thermostat then give it a bloody good seeing to tomorrow night haha.
Gotta say getting the bumper off...
Thanks for all the positive comments :). For some reason I thought you'd got rid of yours Tim?
Some progress today...
Removed the drivers seat to remove them rattling coins!

Nice easy job really. 4 Torx...
You could convoy up with me and my mate, I followed Mark before.
That's a nice figure to have just from stage 1. I'd be happy with 260. I bet it pulls like a train now.
Yeah should be around that marker. Sometimes more from what I've read.
Pretty tempted to stage one it before the surrey rolling road in feb. Then I can check it's healthy and what it's putting out.
I had Henks rs tuner map on my 182. And that pulled a healthy 180bhp at last years surrey...
Lol. The most the car is going to see is stage 1.
It's a toss up between going to rs tuning in Leeds for a live map which is a hell of a long way to go or using my rs tuner to put Henks stage 1 map on. Which will cost the grand total of 150 euro to unlock and buy the map.
I trust Henks...
More spending tonight. Whenever I get a new car I have to get it the way I want it lol.
Tonight I ordered a full service kit with elf evolution sxr plus a new thermostat as my temp gauge seems to be moving around a lot.
Gonna be a busy week...
Fit hids
