Legend, Thanks Fred I will give them a call on Monday if Pure can't supply them in time :)
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
I have been kindly offered a set but am going to try and get the bearings on Monday and just really hope that pure stock them and also the guy's doing the setup can accommodate me swapping from Monday to...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
I know properly gutted :( 2 and half hours of calling round and can't a spherical bearing to fit from anywhere and can't get a set of AST or PMS top mounts! K-tec said they couldn't even check stock as they...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Just got in from working on the car! I don't understand what I have done wrong for everything to go against me with this car :( I had got all the suspension fitted, ride height sorted and was working through...
Its 100% the top mounts I have stripped the fronts right down and can wobble the inner of the bearing with my finger and feel the play! Arrrgh! I was on the phone to Pure just this morning ordering some various spares but didn't get the top mount bearings typical I have obviously jinxed it :(...
Thanks Dan yes hub nut is correct torque! I had stripped the balljoint off but then saw your message so put it back on to try prying it but it didn't really move I now think the play is in the bearing in the Pure top mount :(! I don't know why I have this car lol. I'm going to change the TRE's...
Right I have stripped everything back to just the hub and it is the hub carrier that is moving not the bit the wheel attaches to so i'm fairly sure that its the balljoint.
Will I be okay just picking some up from ECP for what I do with the car (Trackdays, Race etc) or should I get genuine...
Thanks for the replies both of you :) I have just undone the TRE end to swap it and have now left that off but I still have the play and it does move at 12-6 :(
How can I tell between cv, bearing and ball joint?
Thanks again
James
Hi :)
I have just fit my new suspension and am now carrying out the prep on the car ready for my trackday next week. Both front wheels have got play but only when in the 9-3o'clock position. What would this be? Driveshaft, bearing, TRE or something else?
I'm a bit worried as I have already...
Hi Mike :) yes that is a shame would be good to see you! However I am now coming to watch/help (if anyone needs it) at Mallory so will see you then!
Yes I certainly hope so although the way this week has gone I do doubt it lol!

The car has now arrived back and I am in progress with prepping it ready for its next use :)
I have had a few problems with various things but hopefully it will all be sorted and ready to go by Monday.
I am...
Yes Pete i'm gutted but would of been too much risk to enter without trying the car :(
Yes it does the job definitely and I do like the colour choice personally :)
Glad you guys all had a good morning :) Looking forward to watching you all race at Mallory! Cars looking great Pete I like the silver stripe
I told you it was dodgy at Llandow :butt:
Whiteline ARB is best to buy from BTM performance who is a trader on here (Fred)
If by uprated mounts you mean top mounts then google Pure motorsport and they do a set which you can also combine with a strut brace!
Where is the knocking noise coming from?
Stiff shift bushes are from a chap...

Haha thank you very much mate :)! You are nuts for reading that much lol :p
Fred is right though ;)
Can't help with anyone local to you but seen as how nobody else has suggested anywhere then I would just say to look around and don't just choose a geo place just because they have the most expensive alignment machines etc. The most important thing with getting these...
Thanks Tony I thought it was both lol! Saves an extra job :)
Thanks Mark if you could that would be appreciated, I guess you have to get PAS line's made up to fit?
Various ways really, change the damping (valving), change the spring rates or change the anti-roll bar rate. Haha yes it would be...
Don't know how I missed them but just seen the photo's from raceday in your post above looks great :)
The problem with going even lower is you affect the kinematics even more so roll centre's, bump steer and various other things. I would also be wary because of how it was catching on various...
