debating to get a black sun strip ? (opinions)

If you do get one go to a window tinting place and have it fitted inside the screen that way you will not be covering your light / rain sensor, it will cost about £10-£15 This is mine it is quite deep but I have no sun visors because of the cage.

    Unusual tyre wear DZ03G?

I don't really get any understeer, I do have a Whiteline ARB. As for the rears showing the same pattern TBH I can't remember as I have swopped them from front to rear to even the wear so all now show the same pattern now. This has been happening from the first day I used them (second set now), I...

    Unusual tyre wear DZ03G?

Yes bolts are at max, I think the passenger side would give more but it was just set to the same as what the drivers side would go to. I use 595RSR as my wet tyre

    Unusual tyre wear DZ03G?

I think it is the next route, don't really want to buy the top mounts as I have the PMS top mounts and strut brace. I keep looking at the AVOs and BCs

    Unusual tyre wear DZ03G?

The cooksports are quite firm but think the shocks are becoming the weak point as the tyre is putting more load into it than it was designed to cope with, causing the tyre to do the work. I think you are right with the body roll wearing the edge.

My BG 182 Track Car Build

Mine are the plus flush locking ones got them from JJC http://www.jjcraceandrally.com/race/bonnet-pins/aerocatch-bonnet-catches As Martin said don't buy fake ones. As for fitting they are quite easy if you have a dremel or small rotory cutting tool, just take your time and triple check all the...

    Unusual tyre wear DZ03G?

I am leaning towards suspension as I am on standard shocks and cooksports, just wondering if they are not upto the job? @Tony Hunter you run ASTs don't you? I have watched some videos about weird tyre wear on bikes and it mainly comes down to suspension, rebound damping is a main cause, I may...

    CAT to middle pipe fitting

Yeah it was fine and that was on a mapped 2.5 5cyl turbo so it produced a fair bit of heat. I would try and use high temp stuff but if you are stuck it works

    CAT to middle pipe fitting

I have used bathroom silicone on my Focus ST in the past as I run out of high temp stuff and it was fine and that was on for 2 years

    Unusual tyre wear DZ03G?

May well be, I do run just over 2 deg of negative camber

    Unusual tyre wear DZ03G?

I have been using the Dunlops for a while now and seem to keep getting a weird wear pattern, where it is creating a staircase type pattern. I run 30psi hot normally but do up the front pressure to 32-34psi hot sometimes as the main loaded tyre begins to roll and wear the edge. Sorry about the...

    Making a Custom Exhaust

I know what you mean my Akrapovic on my bike uses the same system but you will need a good fit, don't think the normal tube expander will be good enough, I may be wrong though.

    Making a Custom Exhaust

I assume you are going to TIG the pipe together? Try and use V band clamps too as they are much better.

    Making a Custom Exhaust

2.5" for N/A and 3"inch for turbo. Pure motorsport use 2.5 on their exhausts.

    Bedding in new brakes

As above go out early in the morning do some good hard stops from 70 ish to 10-20, I did about 7 or 8, it is just a case of getting the brakes hot and transfering the material to the disc, but try and make sure you are near a motorway so you can just get on and drive for about 10 mins without...

    Polished the track car

Cheers Mark I already have a kit to remove it but going to get an aluminium rad and change that at the same time, dont really need a/c with the roof vent except if you are sitting in traffic. It will not be done now until after Oulton in August just don't have the time.

My BG 182 Track Car Build

After changing the brake fluid on Friday from the Rockingham trackday just over a week ago so it is ready for Donington at the weekend I decided to give the track car a machine polish today as there were some fine scratches from using the cover when it is in the garage. I used Meguiars 205 and...

    Heat wrapping manifold

I have thought of that. Using the silver reflective stuff with velcro so no wires need to be dismantled but it is not cheap, and I just looked at the manifold and wrapping it crossed my mind.

    Heat wrapping manifold

I am thinking of wrapping the manifold but don't want to remove it as it is a pain. I only want to keep the radiant heat away from the coil wires as it is affecting my shift light. Just having a little look I could probably do to the red lines fairly easy with in inlet removed and possible get...
