The cooksports are quite firm but think the shocks are becoming the weak point as the tyre is putting more load into it than it was designed to cope with, causing the tyre to do the work. I think you are right with the body roll wearing the edge.

Yeah it was fine and that was on a mapped 2.5 5cyl turbo so it produced a fair bit of heat. I would try and use high temp stuff but if you are stuck it works

I have used bathroom silicone on my Focus ST in the past as I run out of high temp stuff and it was fine and that was on for 2 years

I have thought of that. Using the silver reflective stuff with velcro so no wires need to be dismantled but it is not cheap, and I just looked at the manifold and wrapping it crossed my mind.
