Friends radical at Donnington - If link works

As Tony said its the drivers that are the main problem, on that day there were a few (not many) drivers that were driving sensible. I don't object to racers using trackdays as long as they respect that others have paid to be there too.

Friends radical at Donnington - If link works

They are silly fast but they can be a PITA when there are a few on a trackday, they just dive down the inside of you as you are about to turn into a corner, due to the downforce and slicks they have so much more cornering speed. I would love to go in one to see what they are like though. My...

Pure Motorsport Racing Precision Gear Linkage Kit

Give Nick a call at PMS, he was telling me at French car show that he is sorting out a damper that bolts to the linkage to solve the rattle.

Cannot drive car in the dark

My adjuster broke at Oulton on Tuesday, I ran a little bit wide at Knickerbrook and went over the serrated curbs, it snapped the plastic connector off. Is it a whole new unit or is there another cheap fix?

    iphone 6 "searching"

Apple is not local but they are good for customer service. I will try that first, as I still have a few months warranty left on the phone.

Rainsports -v- Winter tyres (Miata owners)

I've used Falken hs439 eurowinter on my 250 for the last couple of years and they still look like new, they are not the best in snow (from reviews) but good in our sort of winter. They are worth the money if you have the spare set of wheels.

    Best Brakepads From Cold?

I used DS2500 and they worked fine from cold but better with a bit of heat (did not need much), I am trying RC6 now and they have so much more bite, first time I used them I braked for the first corner as I would with the DS2500 and I almost stopped had to release the brake early but they do...

    iphone 6 "searching"

My iphone 6 has randomly started to show "searching" in the top left corner. It will be working fine and then "searching" will come up and no signal (wifi still works fine), it happened when I was in France a couple of weeks ago the phone was working fine then it stopped for 3 days, I tried...

SPA Oil Temp & Pressure Gauge Installation

PTFE tape on tapered threads and on parallel threads use a copper washer or dowty seal. Nice and easy to wire up just a ignition live 12V supply and a earth needed, you will need to put a big hole in the bulkhead to get the plug through or you could strip the plug down and fit it back together...

SPA Oil Temp & Pressure Gauge Installation

@smith647 @barnesautos I would not fit the BSP fitting into the NPT as they are different the BSP is 28 TPI and the NPT is 27 TPI also one is a tapered thread and the other is a parallel thread, they will go together quite easy and will "possibly" seal but IMO not worth the risk. Here...

    Reims

Just come back from France fishing and Reims was a small detour so decided to stop off for a couple of photos, it was high 30's all week and on Saturday it never stopped raining:disappointed:, it would be a fantastic place when the weather is nice.

I got one of these sandwich plates to "stack" with the cooler sandwich plate. https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p/mocal-billet-sandwich-plate-for-sender-fitment-m-tgasp200x The 1/8 npt is then used for the one sensor and you will need a 3/8 bsp male to 1/8 bsp reducing fitting to fit the other...

Double declutching, heel and toe etc

I just practiced with the car still first to get an idea of what my foot should be doing, started off "rolling" my foot as I found it easier and practicing on empty roads (much easier braking hard) and now I heel and toe, I also wear karting boots when on the track as you get more feel and they...

    Coilover set up cost?

I am thinking of getting some coilovers for the track car but just wondering how much it is to get them set up? Also whats included in the price is it just corner weighting and ride height or is a full alignment included? Just working out a budget before I buy them.

    The FRS has gone...

That looks nice is it the DSG? What does it sound like compared to the FRS? I would imaging that when the new RS comes out end of the year is the mk2 is going to take a bit of a hit if the new one is £30k ish as nobody is going to pay £25k for a 5-6 year old car when they can have a brand new...

LOL, I assume you were told to get the car sorted and forget the bike then. I have only used mine twice this year once for MOT and went to Donington one evening to see Mick and ended up sweating my tits off in my leathers.
