I'm still debating weather or not to just whack a new clutch in at the same time. It feels absolutely fine as it should at just 26k miles, but it's over 11 years old now. My wallet is currently stretched far enough though.. Without spending another £300+ I know I will kick myself if it fails in...
Some pics of my car currently undergoing it's second cambelt service. Thoroughly impressed with Benfield Renault Carlisle.
Getting all belts done, water pump, new crank pulley and a full service. £1400 including vat. Next up is new discs, pads and braided hoses all round. This should see...
Looks great Simon, would you have gone for auto this time if you had had the choice?
No such issues with my lights, I had to get them moved down after I fitted the eibachs though; they went crazy high and I was getting flashed by EVERY car lol :)
Mum and Dad had a 123d for 2 years, thing never broke 40mpg even on a long run. It even went into BMW after they kept complaining about the MPG, A quick read of the forums suggests late 30's is normal.
They are only single turbo AFAIK!! It's a twin scroll turbo which is where the confusion begins.
The twin turbo was dropped after the 123d as it never really gave very good MPG.
I want your steering wheel :(
Great cars the 125d, I'd be willing to bet that when new it cost a bit more than an M135i which has most of that stuff standard, hence why they are so rare.
You just can't beat winter, roof down blasts!! Brings back memories of my e46 M3 cab, used to blast around in December, January roof down getting some "you must be crazy" stares from pedestrians around town.
Remember one Saturday night I was out in Carlisle with a mate and I was driving, so...
The 235i is a bit of a minger I've got to admit, you definately seem to have had a Friday afternoon car Dave. :(
Mines almost due it's first service now 19k miles and never said a word wrong touch wood!!
I haven't any on my phone Craig but next time I'm at his I'll get a few pics, it's never been in any mags etc not really his thing to be honest. There's a couple of vids on YouTube of it running at Kirkbride airfield but looks to have been filmed on a 3210 Nokia lol
Dunno really, he would sell I think but he would lose thousands upon thousands, I think it's a car that will end up stripped for parts again and sold standard. Shame cause it's a pretty epic spec. It's just on the verge of being too unreliable though. Id take it back into the 2's and not have to...
One of my best mates still has his GMC'd supercharged 106gti, he's spent an utter fortune on the damn thing and hasn't even driven it for years, just sits gathering dust now, I'm sure it was around 340hp. I went in it once, and I'm sure my nail marks are still embedded in the seat lol.
Found this video very fascinating, great music, and incredible car.

Awesome video!! I love when hes going round the barrel at the end, and even he literally cannot see anything for smoke, and yet manages to still dohnut it perfectly!
