Lol, well.., possibly! I'm a farmer not a suspension expert, but hopefully the KW's allow a lower height whilst still retaining plenty of travel for our shocking roads so should absorb any mid corner bumps without too much trouble.
Believe it or not the car is only 22mm front and 30mm rear...
Think it's just the pics mate as when you see it in person the wheels are fairly flush to the arches...
Also remember the camber etc will likely be miles out until the geo is done.
That was meant to be this mornings job but I'll have to do it later as I can't get the jack under the car now so need to get some bits of wood
Got it all washed and cleaned up again this morning and tomorrow I'm gonna raise up the fronts 5mm and see what that looks like. Good thing about the front end is you can do it with the wheels on lol.
Actually pretty happy with the rear height, amazing how the car looks so much more squat and...
GTR is my mates who fitted the coil overs, he's got his own garage, also has a 182 and a Supercharged 106gti with about 350hp lol, GTR is a MY12 and is biblically fast. Only done about 9000 miles from new!
Without spacers it can look a little odd being low, I've got 15's on the rear and 5 up front but could probably get away with 15 all round, it's said to cause tram lining though which isn't good.
It's actually got rake at the moment by a fair bit, must be the pictures. The front is Definately bordering on too low in a practical sense.. However it's not the bodywork that's the problem at this height, it's the under trays catching, and that's no bueno cause you can't buy them anymore afaik.
So yeah... I'll let the pics do the talking, not sure I can keep it at this height but it looks EPIC!!! need it booked in for a full geo but from my initial rain soaked drive home it drives like a different car, so flat and so sure footed! I absolutely love it!
Better pics to come when...
Thanks Jamie, good plan with the basic tracking! So if I get it all aligned in the future and then adjust the height will this then knock everything out again??
Getting these fitted on the 8th May, got a bit of a noob question but do coilovers "settle" like normal springs or stay at the height you set..
Also purchased some H&R spacers for the stance scene y0! :P
On a side note, this is the only car I've owned including m3's etc that has 4 complete units rather than the rears being separate dampers and springs!
Is this quite a rare thing??
That's what I like to hear mate! Brilliant stuff! Was worried about them being overly firm on our shocking roads, but I'm led to believe they make the car feel planted! :)
AFAIK it's just APEC or renault available for the Vee, unless you go full baller and fit K-Tecs big brake kit. That's one of the problems with the clio v6, it was sold in such small numbers most companies don't even make stuff for it. APEC has been a godsend in this way :)
Haha cheers mate...
@rctempire Yeah APEC discs mate, tried and tested for years on Clio V6's and proven to be equal or even better than oem discs.
There's also the fact that these were £147 delivered for all 4.. Genuine renault discs are over £900 lol!
£1526 for the KW's mate.. Hope they are as good as everyone makes out! I went with redstuffs after many reccomendations on v6clio.net. I can't wait to have the brakes done tbh, my front discs are warped and it's horrendous at the moment!
