The coilovers that came fitted to my car are too stiff for my requirements so I am going to replace with OEM 182 Cup parts.
This being my first Clio and with no experience of OEM suspension I wanted to make sure that my shopping list is present and correct. I have the Cup springs already...

Assume your rears have the helper spring fully compressed? Would be interested in seeing pics of your rear arch gap if you have any.
The pic is shadowy so difficult to see, but the wheels are off the ground i.e. this is full droop with no weight on the suspension. When on the wheels the edge of the tyre is more or less in line with the arch. I'd like more ride height as this is primarily a road car and I hit the bump stops...
Thanks chaps for the quick replies. I suspect that I am already at the max ride height and that any more adjustment of the collar is simply compressing the helper spring not extending the strut length any further. Here's a photo at full droop - does this look about right for max rear height...

Thanks. Wanted to get the nut off to put two large washers on there to retain the broken tab on the ECU cover. Not enough thread for another nut and washers. May have to try a nut breaker.
Almost embarrassing to ask help for such a small problem, but am having trouble removing the nut on the OS front turret. It's spinning on the thread. Tried prying with a screwdriver but it isn't budging. Any ideas?

Thanks. I really am a dummy when it comes to electrics. To connect the CC sensor do I need to replace the entire loom, or just a bit of it? Do I simply plug the required section into the green plug pictured, or do I take the dash apart?
I found these loose connectors behind the left side of the dash. Could they be related to the CC wiring?

Thanks - makes sense. Is there a simpler way to get the heating controls working again without replacing the loom? Not bothered about AC.
Electrics not my forte tbh.
My 182FF with climate has been stripped including all electrics in the roof lining.
Not surprisingly the heater and AC don't work properly. Sometimes I get hot air and other times cold, and the temperature controls don't seem to work.
How difficult would it be to wire a sensor back in?
Thanks. Might do the odd track day here and there but I'm mostly a road driver, as in "get up at the crack of dawn and finish before other people wake up" kind of driving. Also love a good road trip - planning to take the Clio to the top of Scotland this year if things have calmed down by then.
As an alternative suggestion OP, a Celica T-Sport/190/VVTL-i is within your budget and is likely to be cheaper to run than the equivalent Honda, Audi or Renault.
Trackdays aren't a measure of how special or fun a car is, imo. A Lotus Elise is one of the very best driving experiences you can get, but you don't see that many on track and when you do they're usually being overtaken by hot hatches.
A stock TT will go around a track or B-road quicker than...

TBH if a TT is in your consideration set, then a 182 may not be a good fit. A TT and 182 are about as polar opposite as you can get.

If you’re used to turbos any NA will initially feel slow. Compared with modern stuff a 182 is not quick by any means.
These cars are all about the raw connection to the road. You have to punt it hard on a B road to “get” it.

As it looks like Cup spoilers are no guarantee of Cup suspension, I'll have to restrict my search to the Cup, or cars specifically advertised as...
