Nice project. I absolutely love the quality of the build with your Clio and I'm sure the civic will be just as impressive. This will be a very quick car once it's finished.
Civic type r's make fantastic race cars.
The wax is the protection so it doesn't need anything applied over it.
If you really wanted to put something over it have a look at gtechniq c2v3 or Carpro reload, these are spray sealants and protect pretty much whatever you apply them to.
Wax is perfectly fine on it's own tho.
It's loud because of the decat. Ive got a piper cat back on mine and the sound and noise levels are spot on. Quiet around town and on the motorway but makes a nice sound when giving in the beans.
I think having a decat pipe makes most if not all of the Clio systems pretty loud so if you buy a...
Did you put up a thread about doing dealer work? If so it's probably because your not a paying trader or some b****cks like that.
They love the rules over on dw
No worries
You only want to clay the car when it's necessary. In around six months time give the car a wash and when it's still wet run your hands all over the panels. If they still feel very smooth and you can't feel any contaminants then there's no need to clay.
Because you do very little...
Yeah will be fine in the garage. That's spot on.
Desire is a pretty durable wax and if your car is garaged regularly it should last around six months. I'd say reapplying once a month isn't necessary. Once the beading and sheeting drops in performance then add another layer then however if you...
Rejuvenate and desire is a nice combo.
One layer is good, two layers is even better just to guarantee complete coverage but three layers isn't necessary. Nothing to gain after two layers really.
I usually just apply one layer.
Yeah it's the product names that we're confusing me aswell. Everyone on dw shortens the product names but I don't know what anything is actually called lol.
Sounds good, look forward to your reviews.
Gally what do you think of ADS products in general?
It's a brand I've seen quite a lot on dw but I don't really know much about the company or the products. Any stand out products in their range?
ADS1982 besides their wax have you got any other ads products?
Seen a spray sealant / qd that...
I can see where your coming from. Autofinesse have got a very busy wax range at the moment. Certainly a few waxes in there that should be dropped I think.
Yeah it doesn't look too good in the pictures although to be fair to Desire after about 10 seconds or so the bonnet was almost dry. The sheeting was just a lot slower than the other side of the bonnet with the sonax on it.
I think most if not all waxes are really affected by a layer of dust on...
Would you say it's over priced at £120 Dave?
There's no way I'd personally pay that for it but I think £80 is much more like it.
At £80 it probably works out quite cheap per application.
Desire is lovely. When applying it use a damp microfibre applicator. I find it spreads so much better this way over a foam applicator.
I can almost do the whole side of my Clio with just a few dabs so it goes a long way and it's effortless to remove.
It's a really nice wax.
That's a very good point Chip. Like you say let's just hope they can manage it in a way to get the enthusiasts in and keep the chavs out. I think it's got the potential to be a real stand out event on the Goodwood calendar if it grows in the right way.
Looked a brilliant day tho. Real credit...
