Interesting Dave. At this time of year my car isn't getting dirty as such so any dust or light dirt is easily coming off with the pressure washer. Will see what happens when winter comes and it gets really dirty.
I live out in the sticks so it will be getting plenty of mud thrown up the sides...
One week update:
So I decided to give the car a wash as it had gathered quite a lot of dust over the week.
I'll let the pictures do most of the talking but even after just one week I already know what product is gonna come out on top. This test doesn't even seem fair it's so one sided. Sonax...
This is a great thread to have a read through. The transformation is insane. Also the kit he used actually strips all the factory colour from the seats so you can repaint them in whatever colour you like or just find a colour from another manufacturer which matches the original Renault colour...
I'm the same. The market just seems to be flooded with everyone trying to make and sell waxes. I've got a few waxes and I don't think I'll be buying anymore for a very very long time.
Nice! I do love a 5
What's the spec and plans regarding suspension, brakes etc?
Will weigh around 700-750 with a cage so anything around 200bhp will be a quick car.
LSD is key in these.
Looks great! The car looks so much more purposeful now.
Love the wheels however a new set of wheel bolts would really finish them off.

Edit: just noticed the centre caps. Really nice touch.
Project is coming along nicely and the car looks great!
Those spacers tho! Have a look into hubcentric spacers because I'm not sure those spacers are any good.
Once you go above 10mm you need hubcentric so the wheel and the weight of the car is supported by the hub and not just the studs...
I never said it did. I was just talking about co2.
A certain percentage goes back into the roads to build new roads, tunnels etc. Some of the money is spent on public transport and the railways and the rest of the money just goes to the government and is spent on other things.
I don't know...
Taxing cars based on co2 is just one big con!
They just do whatever they like and your tax just goes up and up every year.
What used to wind me up is when I had my 1.4 Clio I was paying around £150 a year tax and doing less than 2000miles a year.
My next door neighbour had a new 5 series...
Well you need to experiment on the day because it's impossible to say because the weather conditions on the day vary so much.
I'd say if it's a dry track with decent weather start at 22psi front 24psi rear and just use that as a starting point. Do a session on track and as soon as you pull...
Ok so let's do a quick review of these products.
First of all please excuse the quality of the pictures, they were taken on my iPhone and uploaded with tapatalk. I hope they come out ok.
A few weeks ago I spent a day on my car, full decon, polish with menz polishes via da and a coat of...
