Main problem you will have is getting the sumps bolts out on the drivers side between subframe and sump - there is no room so you have to remove drivers top engine mount and dogbone mount and jack up the engine (block of wood under the sump) as far as possible and then chock it at the top engine...

Yes nice easy job mate. Getting a genuine Renault kit makes it even easier.

That doesn't sound right mate. The standard auto lock system locks after a about a minute driving (if switched on). Keys can be had from a Renault but looking at £120 + or you can try a decent locksmith - take the car to them and you're looking at £75 to £100 for a new key with button. Or you...

Just had the same issue on the 182. And as James363 has already described it was down to a totally siezed slider to the point the 13mm head snapped leaving the body of the pin in the bracket. Replaced the bracket, slider pin and all working good again :smile:
