Result! £25 later its fixed, Just needed repacking and a new clip, I'd been told it was going to be £55 for the part, and between 2-5 hours labour, so was expecting a big ish bill.
Sorry mate, missed this, the username is Lee in scunny over on the rs megane forum, I bought it off him and then sent my old linkage back to him.
Dropped the car off yesterday to get the cv boot replaced, will be collecting it later on today.
Seriously? Are they not 5.5 seconds to 60mph? And then I imagine they go even better? I'm looking forwards to an encounter with one now, which I think will be a fair match, and my car would destroy a 182
What chrisgti6 said, I'm not keen on it tbh, it will be getting it changed at some point.
Got to keep it nice and sensible as the Mrs uses it half of the week for work, and we often use it for the school run, so needs to be child friendly, and it's to nice a car to be pulling it to pieces.
Apologies ment to give you a shout on here to, great service as always by George@roadtrackraceparts.com sorted me out brakes for the clio and the megane. Top man!
Thanks buddy! Yeah I'm good thanks, hope things are well with yourself [emoji1]
Loving the car, more so now with the short shifter and brakes that actually work, good luck with the viewing, another clio eh lol, I do miss the clio, the megane doesn't quite have that touch of rawness.
Yeah there...
A few updates on the car, the clutch started slipping, so that's been replaced with an r26.r clutch, single mass flywheel conversion and slave cylinder, all supplied by Mark black, and fitted at my local garage, grand total of £960.
It's just had a full service at ade tuning, who have...
Just got a fire tv, loaded it up with Kodi, so far I'm impressed, very easy to use, 100 times easier than my ouya which I have just got rid of thank god, I reckon the Mrs will be ok using this no problem, had no chance with the ouya.
Fair enough, I understand why you want to keep ploughing money into your existing car, sounds nice! Did you say this isn't your daily? If so go for it I say, that r26 is bloody cheap lol
I'm with Chris knott, brentacre are worth a try also, I'd try a lot more than 2 mate, aviva used to be very good on my Clio, also try highway, Liverpool Victoria and Keith Michaels, well worth wasting an hour or so on the phone, could save you hundreds, if you do, leave chris knott till last and...
As much as I'd love a Clio turbo, I'd always be shitting myself thinking something was going to go wrong, I think you have to be very mechanical to own one, and know your way around a car, so you can fix the majority of the problems, me I am not, that's why I bought an r26. Safer bet I'd say...
I ran toyo snowprox on the clio for the last 3 years, superb tyre, got me wherever I wanted to go in all conditions, and wore very well, I was going to get them for the megane, but found some continentals for a good price on eBay near me.
