I had a d1 spec on my mr2 turbo, was a good piece of kit, don't think it was that expensive either.have a google on them , plenty of topics on them :up:
I did it on my mk1 valver years ago, looked good ( back then when max power was in ) worked reasonably well, but tbh I wouldn't do it again, don't see the point really, if it goes tits up, or is not as functional as 2, it's a bit of a safety hazard when it pisses it down, always used to use...
My r26 is is 296bhp and in gear acceleration is awesome, overtaking is a breeze in any gear, only really had a few run ins, one duel against a Porsche 996 c4s it was a t plate with 300bhp, had a few runs with it, megane came out on top in all circumstances, the other with a CL63 AMG, with a bird...
I did use a hairdryer at first but found it didn't really help tbh, did a bit of googling and came across wd40, which seemed to be used by quite a few, so gave that a blast, worked but took forever, I'll try white spirits next time though.
The map does concern me tbh, I do worry when I boot it...
