You need the connecting loom that comes with the cup spoiler. I presume you didn't get one?

Footman James. I have a Renault 5 gt turbo and golf my 1 gti insured with them and both cost less than £100 a year (each).

DONT prise it out from the front - 99% sure you will damage the paint or brake light will crack. Simply turn the spoiler on its back and push a screwdriver through the hole where the brake light wiring goes through and push the light unit out - job done.

Yes and tbh if it sort's my pita standard exhaust hangers out I ain't bothered and will be a happy man. Also if I work out the amount of originals I have gone through over the years - normally lasting 6 months if I am lucky - it's a no brainer.
