Cruise control wire has been snapped cut off - it's should be next to the other 2 black thick plastic coated wires. And yes you need a new squib with all 4 wires attached.

Airbag lights are self diagnosing and will turn off once circuit ok again, so should be fine mate.

A few options like you say. Take rear bases out and fold rear seats down and they will fit in. I have had a full set in mine and they do fit. And yes the airbag light will come on unless you stick a resistor in but for the sake of getting home does it really matter.

Very common to break. Replaced one on mine and took minutes. Cheap as chips from scrapyard.

I put 3.9 and ok.

Yes mate 2 resistors about 15p each from Maplins. And good news about the deflectors :)

Oh and for safety - disconnect the car battery for 15 minutes prior to messing with the airbag ;)

Hi Lee, As long as you fit the resistors into the airbag orange and green airbag plugs all your lights will stay off. Be careful with the steering wheel angle sensor - makes sure it's all lines up and the bubble indicator remains yellow. Otherwise this will illuminate the traction and service...

Got you mate. Quite a common problem - a good option is cut the plug out and solder wires together.

A good starting point is finding out which part of the airbag system is at fault - find somebody locally with clip to pinpoint the issue. Could be a very simple solution once known otherwise you could be messing about with wiring for ages.

Thanks mate, yeah exactly as I thought - i have also just checked against my 182 steering wheel cruise control and should have a plug on the end.

Just bought this off eBay and the cruise control plug looks to be broken - can people confirm before I contact the seller.

Jack it up at the base or ball joint separator screwed shut to grip them together.
