Hi Blakey.
I had the same problem my friend, i have fitted carbon OZ centre caps to my anthracite wheels and lost 3 of them, which isnt good at 8 squid each!!
I used tiger sealant on the inside and not lost anymore for 12 months. :D
Just remember they will be a pain when you come for new...
Did it have JET on the number plate by any chance?
An illiad mk2 from Chesterfield had the full orbisound system on it and apparently sounded the dogs ganglies! (One of Glennv6's neighbours owned it)
I wouldn't worry about them too much. A lot of valvers and williams have these 2 mods, particularly induction kits.
If i was going to remove anything i would remove the induction kit as this can create heat soak problems (car sucking in hot air).
Been watching this since day one, haven't commented thus but now i have to say this is an absolutely top quality rebuild - WELL DONE and much respect!!!
Keep up the good work :star:
Yes i must admit it does look very clean, the arches are looking respectable and the alloys aren't too bad either, but what did let it down was the engine bay. It lacks the looked after touches such as the scruffy heat shield, shabby sparkplug cover and missing engine mount cover etc.
I would...
Very common problem mate :(
Mine did exactly the same at first. This is what i did:
1. The external plastic trim that goes around the sunroof on the roof, i prised the edge up and ran a bead of gutter sealant all the way round, then wiped the excess off leaving a nice seal all the way...
Yeah that would have been me, wish i had spotted you know!
There is an iceburg mk1 v6 knocking around chesterfield with V666 CLO on the number plate, is this you?
........... yes it will if your redlining it around town all day!!!
I travelled down to FCS this year, slapped it into 6th gear and got 37 mpg all the way,so decent fuel consumption is possible.
Very nice Martin :star:
But one question what was the splitter you had on the vee at WSR at Silverstone, cause that look a quality item, looks similar to this but was painted black with a yellow mid engine sticker on it?
Thanks
Mossy
Have a few trolley dings on the valver need pushing out.
Therefore can anyone recommend a decent, cheap de-dent company in the Sheffield or South Yorkshire area?
Thanks.
Sorry about that people, we were getting worried about the traffic warden on her walk around :dapprove: .
We parked one road up in a quiet car park but as we were walking back, your clio's were driving else where. So we walked along the front and had fish'n'chips, was hoping to bump into you...
