In the morning take the upper inlet manifold off - there is a guide for spark plugs that mentions how to do this. you will then be able to look down the spark plug hole and see what damage the threads have. It is likelt to have damamged the threads as the spark plug will have been blown out of...

Definitely spat a plug out. Do a search for timesert, also helicoil but timesert is the better option.

There may well be clips on the underside so would probably need to remove the airbag to see.
