The stereo i have no idea about at all ! Is it still in warranty!?
The oil level gauge isn't all that accurate, it may be that the sensor is picking up a lower reading when the oil is in the sump than when it's been run up (highly likely). Check the oil on your dip stick.
I think because of the finance options were competitive a lot of people went for boggy standards. Not that there's anything wrong with the basic car, but that's mostly all I see for sale.
Unless you're spending major bucks, it'll still be gutless. & if you're spending major money you may as well buy a faster car, it'd probably work out cheaper that way.

Removing the secondary (main cat) & silencer is popular. They sound epic!!
You will notice the flat spot through the bottom end of the rev range a bit more though, some say it's worse than others.
I've got my silencer removed & have to say you only notice the flat spot if you're driving badly...
