I seem to be having trouble with my internet. I can't get on certain sites atm. Ive been having trouble with google, ebay and amazon amongst others. Anyone else having trouble??
17's and i/k's will slow must cars down. I would recommend a panel filter and some 15's if your after more performance. When Ive finished my 1.2 I will post up information, pics etc
My 1.2's currently got a full exhuast system inc manifold and a panel filter and its already getting more fun to drive and drives much better than standard :) if do done the same and lowered the suspension it would do the car alot of favours
Its not hitting the torsion bar/rear axel it seems to be moving to the side near the rear pass wheel and hitting the metal a little bit that surrounds where the exhaust sits in
ive had a Scorpion exhaust fitted to my mk1 and it keeps knocking at the back. Ive took it back to the garage to get the brackets adjusted but it still knocks!! Does anyone know a way to fix this. Ive heard I might be able to stick some heat resitant foam stuff between the exhuast and the part...
Things that annoy me with my mk1:
- Sunroof rattle. Sounds like theres a few lose nuts rolling around sometimes
- Boot door out of line
- Not low enough
- Interior scratches/marks so easily
- Exhuast knocks
All of the above will be fixed evenutally
It will cost alot of money to do. My manifold cost me over £300 as had to get it from Germany. Without going to off-topic does anyone recommend anyone whos good with fuel injectors?? You will also need some cams to get it up past 90bhp. Cant say much else as its not been done before with this...
Well im in progress in doing something similer to my mk1 ph3. You will need alot more than what you have listed. Pm me if you want more details/help :) if your after a filter for now I would recommend searching for an ITG replacement one or a K&N replacement one. Then you can make a cold air...
Got a K&N in mine. ITG are highley recommended. Dunno if you can get them for your engine tho. Panel filters dont really make much difference in noise. You might here it a little bit if your doing about 6k revs but nothing special tho
Same here I have a panel filter and a cold air feed made up my engine, which is the same as yours and it made a slight noticable difference, breathes much easier etc and works well with the other engine, exhuasts mods planned and on the car
I have a valver de-cat on mine but my whole systems custom anyway. The decat pipe is longer than the cat it replaced. You could get it to fit but you might need to do some cutting and welding
I was wondering if its possible to get some 263 degree cams re-profiled to 277 degrees and also how much it would rought cost to do. Also whats the most you can re-profile them by?? Can anyone help??
