Hi I have a de-cat on my 1996 1.2 Clio and im wondering if I left it on when it comes MOT time if I will pass the emissions or just fail because I dont have a cat??
Looks ace :D - I have the same on my 1.2 and the handlings much better. Maybe lost a slight bit in acceleration but I think most people would feel that going from steelies to alloys. I find it hard to wheelspin now due to the extra grip :)
Lol tbh in fairness the Clio does have a funny clutch compared to most cars. When I got mine I was stalling it now and again for the first few weeks. Hired a Focus for the weekend and never stalled it at all :)
Heres my 1.2. Has custom cold air feed, k&n replacement filter, de-cat, 4-2-1 manifold, full exhaust coming soon hopefully with loads more stuff needing done lol
Hi, welcome to the club :) I would suggest with the rims to stay with 15/16" if your after performance, there are so many things you can do to the engine such as cams, exhuasts etc. Try www.k-tecracing.com, www.bbperformancetuning.com or searching the forum for Yozzasport, GDI etc (can't...
Some companies still do it but alot are withdrawing now inc Nowrich Union etc so best to ask on the phone. Has something to do with tracing drivers and insurance details being logged on each vehicle etc (without getting technical lol)
Should have a round, cylinder like air filter at the back of the engine bay in plastic casing. What year was it made in ?? anything after 1996 was an mpi
Some very good points made on here. Ive had passenger rides in a Cup and got back into my car and it felt well slow. I wouldnt want an RS yet tho due to the fact I will prob have trouble running it etc and my 1.2 does a good job and is reliable and theres nothing wrong with it to make me want to...
Can anyone photoshop an exhaust to my car below - I know the picture isnt great so you can use any Mk1 Clio if you like. Im after pics of a 2.5" or 3" exhuast in the usual place and some centre exit exhuasts of various styles :) Thanks in advance (excuse the poor spelling in this thead)
Hope this is some sort of help -> http://www.mp3-mac.com/Pages/AudioRecorders.html As I dont have a Mac I cant tell you what or which is the best software to use as the program I use you can't get for macs :/
Lol - if you had a minidisc player you could get a cable that would connect to an input audio socket on the soundcard (the cable you would need is like a phono cable but with 2 pointy ends) Then you would just need some software to record the sound coming into the mac e.g through the microphone...
Theres some bellend at my work who drves a 1.2 16v Clio like a right t*at, over taking and going round traffic islands the wrong way and races everyone. One I got in front of him in my clio just after a dual carridgeway and some traffic lights, doing nothing wrong as thats how the road goes and...
Be good until you crash... I would suggest if you dont want to pay loads for insurance and if your after a newer shape Clio to get either a 1.4 16v or 1.6 16v then - at least you would have some reasonable power to start with. If you want to go mad with cams, turbos etc then its down to the...
Dunno about price - £5 - 7k at a guess?? and wouldnt recommend putting to much power into it as read someone turbo'd their 1.6 16v to over 200bho but kept blowing up. For that prive you may aswell get a 172 and your nearly there. For cams think they may have some on cat cams - www.catcams.be
