Stunning car.
Just checked the Trophy register for this car and it struck me how much the previous owner spent on it considering he only owned it for a month or two. What was the deal with him selling it so quickly ?
Car looks great and love the colour. Why didnt we get that colour here in the UK ?
Also find it brilliant looking at the regional changes - yours has the ph1 dash and ph2 exterior.
Your 172 :tongueout: will be awesome on track. I would be looking at changing brake pads and bleeding the brakes. Also Oil changes more frequently as well as gearbox oil change.
Virtually impossible to remove, even the faint scratches from wiperblades that have had grit between them are hard to get out.
If you are adventurous you could try http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B014ZWG1GA/?tag=cliospnet01-21 as you have a da.
But wouldnt try it myself. look through the links on...
If you can wait then PMS will sell you the nuts and bolts separately from the kit. Well worth replacing all of them as half the ones you take off will probably be knackered.
Just call or email Nick at PMS - I paid £10 for all the replcement nuts and bolts if I remember rightly.
I was quoted 6-8 week, it was over double and the that when I finally got the car back. Wasnt even worth the wait in the end as I have had no end of problems. Others have waited even longer - @Lal B3N , have you had yours back yet?
Most likely will be the sensors as above.
Speedo not working intermittently has happened to me in the past and it has been due to:
Earth strap to gearbox.
another time it was down to weak battery and alternator not working properly.
Sounds like you have air in there somewhere.
Would be well worth you bleeding them which is easy of you have someone to give you a hand pressing the brake pedal.
Hi Spike,
You might be in luck.

test it out and report back if it works. Nothing to lose.
You really have to jump in the car the moment you see one off bargains like this. The owner obviously didnt know how much they were worth and to be honest Im kind of happy he got more than £150 as that is silly cheap and was ripping himself off.
You know what ... I cant believe I have only just thought of it now but Mike from Ren Tech Portsmouth has 16" ultraleggeras and Brembos . Here is a pic I took a minute ago. I dont know if they are 300mm disks though but think they must be from the small gap between the caliper and wheel. He...
a 197 master cylinder is not needed, your current standard one will be fine. Like Marc says there is a tiny bit more pedal travel but it allows you to vary braking pressure much better.
Definitely go for the PMS mounts as long as they will fit you wheels - They fit Turinis really well with...
Yes that was me ! First time I have been spotted. You should have stopped and had a chat lol.
Got to say a big thank you to @Mike@Rentech for reopening his garage for me and lending me his car. Absolutely top bloke.
Some of the stuff I really like but why have they done that to the exhaust ? it looks absolutely stupid. Floor mats are gash too but apart from that look spretty good.
Seats are actually really nice. What is the MoTeC box in the boot?
Im off to Rentec in Portsmouth on monday to have my belts done on the petrol blue 182. Mike has a deal on and there may be a place left if you are quick.
Thats cool. I read in your profile you had a Pearl Black which must be your old car. 182s are a breeze, definitely get the milltek decat, they are nicely made and might as well go for that if you have a Milltek exhaust.
