Just done a quick qoute on a 1.4 16v - was only 480ish, which aint 2 bad my 1.2 just qouted 435ish - both cars with no mods, tpft and with 2 years ncd, no claims, convs etc - for a 20 year old - prob could get it cheaper still. Just had a qoute on a 1.6 si (the car i wanna get) qoute come up...

Anybody know what the insurance difference is like??

As above - wanna get a new car - pls dont start saying get a v6/172/182 etc lol cos im only 20 and wouldnt be able to afford the insurance :P

they are hard to fit - have to be so careful, worth it tho

They look wicked :) shame its the only dial set I can get for my 1.2 :( will post some pics up when I can. I must say tho the quality on those metal-monkey dials are superb!!

to fit the arches you need to drill wholes to fit them on your car - not really a DIY job cos you could end up with wonky arches lol. They do look good on the clio tho but the petrol cap bit looks a bit naff :(

When you take the top half of a 16v dash, is there a hole or a clip above one of the heater vents where it clips in to? Ive noticed a clip of the top half but i dont have any holes or anything to clip it into so it wobbles about a bit.

I found this prog once on the net that you e-mail to someone with an hotmail address - then it sends u back their password once opened. Dunno if it works anymore - havent bothered trying it

my stereo has clips at the side - need to take stereo out to get to it. Mine snapped so superglued it back together - cd player i have at the mo aint that good

if it just cuts out (doesnt stall) could be a timing sensor - have the same on my car sometimes

what about cat-back systems - do they inrease any power?

apperntly the extra dials dont work unless its on the valver for some reason. I would probably replace them with aftermarket ones like the race x ones for example

would be hard and would take a professional to do - pull out the heater unit then youll find out :confused:

sounds def like a distributer cap prob - had the same prob on my R5. Thankgod they dont make cars with them any more :D

trying to get a top half of a dash from a 16v. Sounds like a dumb question but what is the colour on a standard 16v dash?

get one - use use one all the time - keeps the kids away

i think birds have an ability to pick out a single car and repeatly s**t o it - one way to avoid it is to not park under trees lol

just ined up some gtt arches to my mk1 ph3. The front would fit ok but the rear one i have would need aot of money cos of the petrol cap
